Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior painting job in Manlius, NY. Julie called us back to get her house ready to put up for sale after we painted her daughters room this summer. She called on a Monday and insisted that she needed this done by Friday so she could list her house by the end of the week. Her realtor suggested sprucing up the entries to make a great first impression for potential buyers coming through at her open house that weekend. Although the schedule was tight we made it happen. After trucking through last weeks snowfall and ice we arrived early Friday morning. To get her entries looking their best I recommended painting the doors, all the molding, the staircase risers-stringers with a bright white semi-gloss to make it pop. So to start everything was machine and hand sanded to remove the shine and dull the surface for new paint to stick. Everything was then throuroughly vacuumed and wiped down with a damp sponge to remove dust then allowed to dry. Gaps and seams were caulked to streamline the molding. Following the prep work one coat of Benjamin Moore's Advanced semi-gloss bright white was applied. Here is how it turned out! Make sure you get the best product when you paint and go to Purcell's.
