Interior Exterior House Painting Contractor Painter Syracuse New York

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus New York. Jenna and Jay just bought their first home. The previous owner lived there for 30 years and had not updated in as long. After figuring out their needs the quote was sent and accepted. The start date was set for a few weeks later and work began promptly that Monday morning. To start half the rooms being painted needed the wallpaper removed. This is a process, so the next two days were spent using my tried-and-true methods for getting the walls clean and smooth. Once this was complete repairs were made to the walls and ceilings with joint compound-sanded-spot primed. Following this the ceilings were sprayed with Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint flat white. Next two coats of their chosen colors in Benjamin Moore Regal Select were brushed and rolled on the walls. The doors were removed and setup in a spray jig-area in their basement. Once setup the doors were sanded-wiped down and sprayed twice with Sherwin Williams ProClassic Enamel ultra white semigloss finish and rehung with new brushed nickel hardware.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Jamesville New York. Joe is getting ready to sell his townhome and wanted to update the colors and repaint the ceilings. After meeting to discuss his needs the quote was sent and accepted. The start date was set for a few weeks later and work began promptly Monday morning. Furniture was moved to the center of each room, floors covered with clean drop cloths, cabinets-counters-hardware were taped and masked with painters' plastic and paper. The sand textured ceilings had water damage in many spots due to a leaky roof that was replaced. So the water damaged sections were removed and floated with new joint compound, sanded to flush, then textured to match the pattern. Eah repair was spot primed with Purcells PPG Seal Grip to prevent flashing. Following this one coat of Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint was applied flat bright white. The walls were pole sanded to smooth and repaired with joint compound as needed. After prep two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore in Simply White eggshell finish were rolled and brushed.

Interior Exterior Painting Contractor Painter Cabinet Refinishing Syracuse New York

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Manlius New York. Lisa and Jon just bought a townhouse next to the Cavalry Club Golf Course. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accepted. The start date was set for about a month later. The previous owners were smokers and from the looks of things had not painted in a couple decades. To neutralize the nicotine stains the walls were thoroughly cleaned with vinegar then coated with an oil primer to seal it. The ceilings were heavily sprayed with Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint to bring them back to a bright flat white. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Classic Grey were applied brushed and rolled to all the walls. The doors were removed from their jams and setup in a spray area in the basement. The doors were sanded with a fine grit sandpaper to scuff the surface as well as all the window-door molding and wiped down. Two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd were sprayed for a factory finish, no brush marks. The old hardware was reinstalled, and the doors were rehung. Two coats of the Advance were also sprayed onto all the molding and every trace of a previous smoker were removed. Thank you for all the work and enjoy your new home!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus New York. pat and Linda just bought a new home by Shove Park and wanted to update the colors to their taste. To start a few rooms wallpaper was removed, repairs were made to the walls and caulk was applied around the molding to seal up cracks. Once prep work was completed one coat of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint was applied to all the ceilings throughout the first and second floor. Once this had setup two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Simply White was applied to the walls brushed and rolled. While the walls were being painted the doors were removed from their jams along with all hardware and stored. The doors were then placed in the basement in an area setup for spraying the finish. First the doors were sanded with a fine grit to scuff the surface for better adhesion and wiped down. Next two coats of Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Enamel were applied with a sprayer for a factory finish. Once the doors had dried the new nickel hardware was installed and they were rehung. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint at US Ecosystems offices in East Syracuse. Heather called for a quote to paint 26 + rooms in their building. Most rooms were offices with a few hallways, bathrooms, and conference rooms. We started by centering each rooms furniture then covering it with painters plastic. Floors were covered with drop cloths and any other surface not being painted was taped and masked to protect them from over spray. Wall repairs were made with joint compound and the vinyl cove was removed so new base molding could be installed after painting. The walls were pole sanded to knock down any dirt or snags from previous work. Once prep work was completed one coat of Purcells PPG Ceiling paint was sprayed onto all the drop ceilings in each office. Following this two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec Simply White eggshell finish were applied brushed and rolled. Painters' plastic and masking was removed and the office furniture was reset when we finished.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Jamsville-Dewiit.

josh is moving to Syracuse from out of state. The house he bought was quite lived by the previous owner and their pets. Arrangements were made thru Vincent Ezzo of Howard Hanna Real Estate to complete and coordinate the project. IN this case the entire interior from top to bottom was being repainted. Since the house was empty setup was a breeze. Drop cloths, painters' plastic and paper were placed on the floors-cabinets-counters and fixtures. Prep work included Cailfornia wall repairs for large holes and spackling holes-dings-dents with joint compound. Cleaning also was a huge part of the prep work with hair everywhere. Once the prep work was completed one coat of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint was applied brushed and rolled. Once this setup two coats of the owners preferred color choices in Benjamin Moore were applied. The pantry and closets were all given a fresh coat of bright white. Recently Donigan completed an interior repaint in Jamesville's Southwood Neighborhood. Jon and Joan are longtime customers. This time around they wanted their oak kitchen cabinets painted an off white. After cojnting the cabinets and explaining the process it takes to achieve optimal results they signed off on the work. We began promptly about a onth later Monday morning. First we setup a spray area in their unfinished basement that contained the dust and fumes created from the sandiing and spraying. Once the plastic was setup the kitchen cabinet doors were removed and placced on a spray jig. Each side of the doors were machine sanded with fine grit sandpaper to remove the gloss finish. The same was done to the kitchen cabinet doors. Once sanding was completed they were vacuumed and wiped down. One coat of Purcells PPG Seal Grip Primer was then sprayed on each side of the doors and brushed-rolled onto the cabinets. After allowing the primer to cure for 24 hours the cabinets were sanded again-cleaned. Two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd were sprayed onto each side of the kitchen cabinet doors and cabinets. After allowing for setup time a second coat was sprayed on giving the cabinets a factory finish like what you find at Home Depot or Lowes Kitchen depts. New pulls were drilled and installed as well as new hinges.

Recently Donigan Painting competed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Meadowbrook Neighborhood. Tom and Paula just bought a home and wanted to update the wall colors to their taste. After meeting to discuss their needs, the quote was emailed and accepted. Work was scheduled for the same month and began promptly the Monday morning we began. To start all the floors, fixtures, cabinets-counters were covered with painters plastic and clean drop cloths. Wall repairs were made with joint compound, sanded and spot primed. Seams and gaps around the molding was caulked. All walls were sanded with fine grit to remove any snags-dirt-etc. The 20 raised panel doors were removed and setup in a jig in their two-car garage. The doors, window-door-base molding were sanded with 220 grit to remove the shine-sheen then thoroughly cleaned with a vacuum and wiped down. Once prep work was completed two coats of Purcell's Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint were brushed and rolled followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Classic Grey on all the walls. Two coats of Sherwin Williams Por Classic Enamel Ultra White semigloss were sprayed onto the doors and molding for a factory finish. Thank you for the work and enjoy your new home.

The West Genesee School District called for a quote to repaint a few auditoriums and gymnasium's before the school year began. A few weeks ago we started by painting Walberta Elementarys gym. Following that we repainted the high schools auditorium. The building manager for the New House classrooms-buildings needed to hire out a professional painting company to complete a bunch of projects his crews did not get too with all the other renovations this past summer. After spending three months painting the interiors of many lecture halls-hallways and common areas we wrapped up our detail for this school year. Recently Donigan Painting completed a number of turnover-repaints for Park Point and U Point campus housing at Syracuse University. Donigan Painting specializes in apartment turnovers for large institutions, government buildings, senior communities and apartment complexes, Nob Hill, Parkside Commons. This summer they needed 100 + apartments completely repainted or touched up. We worked between each property as they cleared each one for us to paint. In most cases half of these suites were painted and the other half touched up. We spent about two months moving from building to building each week. Nail holes, dings, dents were repaired with joint compound, sanded, spot primed. The walls, doors, base-door molding were machine sanded-hand sanded to remove the finish and wiped down. One coat of Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint was applied brushed and rolled. Following this two coats of Sherwin Williams Grasshopper and Hint of Mint in eggshell finish were brushed and rolled. Two coats of ProClassic Enamel were brushed and rolled onto the raised panel doors and molding.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Syracuse. Ed has a rental property on Elm Street that needed a paint job. Luckily it was aluminum siding making the prep work a cinch. When we started few weeks later the house was pressure washed and cleaned with a detergent to remove the chalky film buildup that goes with older aluminum houses. Once it dried out, we cut in each side, masked windows then sprayed two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec in Classic Grey flat finish. The windows and doors were two coated with the same product in bright white satin finish. Thanks for all the work Ed! Enjoy

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Jamesville Southwood Neighborhood. Pete and Paula just bought a new home and wanted to update the colors. After meeting to discuss their needs, a price was given on the spot followed by an emailed quote the next day. Work was scheduled about a month out and began promptly the Monday morning we started. Since they had not moved in yet setup and prep was a breeze. Drop cloths were placed over the hardwoods and carpets throughout, cabinets-fixtures-etc were taped and masked with plastic a paper, the walls -molding were sanded to remove the sheen and cleaned. Caulk was applied around the window-door-base molding as needed. Nail holes-dings-dents were repaired with joint compound then sanded and spot primed. Next one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was sprayed throughout the first and second floors. Following these two coats of Purcell's Benajmin Moore Regal Select in Simply White eggshell finish were brushed and rolled out in each room. The 25 doors were removed and setup in a jig in their basement to spray them for a factory finish. Once the painting was completed the new hardware was installed and the doors were rehung. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint on Onondaga Hill. Syed just bought a new home on Colburn Lane and wanted to paint all the interior walls and his oak kitchen cabinets. After meeting to discuss his family's needs a price was given on the spot and the quote was emailed the next day. A few weeks later work began first thing Monday morning. since the house was empty it made setup quick. First a contained spray area was setup in their two-car garage that included masking off all the walls and covering the floor with drop cloths. The kitchen cabinet's doors were removed and placed on a work horse jig in order to work on them horizontally. First each side of the kitchen cabinet doors were sanded with 220 grit sandpaper then vacuumed and wiped down. Following this prep work one coat of Purcell's PPG Seal Grip Primer was sprayed on both sides. Caulk was applied to the small seams along the front side of the doors for a seamless finish. Inside each rooms walls were cut in with Purcell's Regal Select in Chantilly Lace Eggshell finish then two coated with rollers. The cabinets rails and fascia were also primed with the same product. The cabinet doors were then two coated with an airless sprayer using Purcell's Benajmin Moore Advance Alkyd also in Chantilly Lace satin finish. After a couple days the hardware was replaced, and the doors and drawers were replaced. Thank you for the work! Enjoy

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt New York. Chris just bought a house off of Maple Drive that was very dated with old wallpaper and older kitchen cabinets. He wanted to remove all the wallpaper and reface the kitchen cabinets. After discussing his needs, I gave him the price on the spot, my availability. The quote was emailed the next day and accepted. Work started a few weeks later. To start all the floors were covered with drop cloths, hardware and anything not being painted was taped and masked or covered with painters plastic. Ten of the fifteen rooms had wallpaper from the 70's. Once the paper and paste were removed the walls were sanded then floated with joint compound as needed, sanded then primed. Prep work included sanding the walls-doors-molding-kitchen cabinets. A spray area was set up in his garage for the kitchen cabinets. Once prep work was completed two coats of Benjamin Moore Simply White eggshell finish was applied to all the walls. Prior to painting the walls two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint were rolled and brushed on. The kitchen cabinets, after being thoroughly prepped, had two coats of Purcell's PPG Seal Grip Primer sprayed on. Once the primer setup the cabinets were sanded again-cleaned then two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd bright white sating finish were applied. Recently Donigan painting completed an interior repaint in Jamesville's Southwood Neighborhood. Jean and Jon hired us about a year ago to repaint some rooms at their home and called in a quote we did at the time a few weeks ago for a bunch more rooms. Work started promptly Monday morning. we began by centering furniture, removing hardware, sanding the walls-doors-molding to remove the finish. Next wall repairs were made with joint compound to fix holes-dings-dents. Next one coat of Purcell's ceiling paint was applied to each room. They decided to use the same color for the walls throughout xo two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Classic grey eggshell finish were brushed and rolled. To wrap this one up the doors were sprayed using Purcell's Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd bright white semigloss. Enjoy!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint for Syracuse Universities Park Point and U Point Student Apartments. The property manager called me a few weeks ago under the gun to have work completed before the kids come back from summer break. They needed their main floor bathrooms, offices and the pergola stained asap. About two weeks later after we met work began promptly. We started by painting the offices, bathrooms and fitness room first. Navy Blue and a light grey were used in each area with two coats being applied to each. Next the very large patio pergola was stained from top to bottom with Sherwin Williams Semi transparent Charwood. The car port ceilings were sprayed to freshen them up with Sherwin Williams paint two coats.

Prior to starting the house and deck where pressure washed to remove old paint and dirt. We started by spraying out the soffit-gutters-down spouts bright white to refresh them. Next three coat of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select Exterior High Build Bold Blue was sprayed-brushed-rolled. since they chose navy blue over a light beige it took three coats in order for the true color to show and last. Once the body of the house was done the brick front and chimney where white washed to soften them up. Lastly the deck was two coated with a light grey on the treads and black for a rail look. Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Mattydale New York. Karen just came back from Australia to take care of her parents' estate. Her realtor, Vincent Ezzo of Howard Hanna, called me weeks in advance to quote out the interior and exterior painting to have buyer ready. After we met to discuss the sellers needs the quote was sent and accepted. A few weeks later work began promptly. To start the problem areas of the exterior were hand scraped to remove the peeling paint. The debris were carefully contained and discarded. Next these areas were spot sanded then primed with Purcell's PPG Seal Grip Acrylic Primer to make the paint stick very well. Seams were caulked and all plants-trees and surfaces not being painted were covered with painters' plastic and drop cloths. Next one coat of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select flat ultra-white was applied with a sprayer for a factory finish. While the outside dried, we went inside and removed water damaged sections of the vaulted ceilings in her master bathroom and in a bedroom. Once removed these sections were floated with joint compound-sanded-cleaned-retextured-spot primed. Following the prep work two coats of Purcell's Muresco Ceiling Paint were applied brushed and rolled to brighten up each area. The walls and ceiling were repaired with joint compound, sanded-cleaned-spot primed. Their base-window-door molding was scuffed with fine grit sandpaper, wiped down, and caulked as needed. Next one coat of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Muresco Ceiling Paint was applied throughout both the first and second floors. Once the paint had setup the walls were cut in with Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Classic Gey eggshell finish. Once each room was cut-in two coats were rolled on with a 3/8s nap for a smooth finish. To wrap this one up two coats of Regal Classic Trim Enamel were applied to all the molding brushed and rolled in a bright white satin finish. Thank you for all the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint on DeRuyter Lake. JOhn and Bonnie wanted to update their camps color from white to something with color. First the camp was cleaned of the cobwebs and bugs that come along with camp life. Loose paint was scraped off and spot primed. Seams were caulked. One coat of Benjamin Moores REgal Select Bright white semigloss was applied to all the molding, fascia, soffit. Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Camillus New York. Jo and Steve just bought a new home on Breakspear Road and wanted to change the color from a dull beige to Benjamin Moores Bold Blue. After meeting to discuss their needs, the quote was sent and accepted, date set, colors finalized. Work began promptly a month later with removing their old shutters, downspouts, hardware. The house was pressure washed a few weeks earlier. Areas that had chipping paint were had scraped, spot primed, seams caulked. Once prep work was completed one coat of Purcells Benjamin Moore Regal Select Ultra White semi-gloss was sprayed on to the gutters and soffit. The wood windows were trimmed out with the same color after being sanded-primed. Next the windows were taped-masked then two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select High Build flat were sprayed-brushed-rolled twice since it is a very dark color. The deck was two coated with Arborcoat in a light grey for the floor and black for the rail system. Thankyou for all the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Mattydale New York. Vincent and Karen are getting ready to sell their parents home. After many years of wear and tear it was time to freshen up the outside to help it sell faster. After meeting with the two the quote was sent and accepted, date set, contract signed. Work began promptly a week later because they were under the gun to get it listed quickly and sold. So to start all the problem areas on the wood clapboards was thoroughly hand scraped and cut back using a 5 in 1 to lose the edge. Everything was contained using heavy mil plastic on the ground for little to no cleanup. The bare wood was oil primed then top coated with Purcells Regal Select Exterior flat white.
