Recently Donigan Painting completed and interior painting job in Manlius, NY. John just bought a new home and wanted to completely makeover each room with new colors and fresh white ceiling paint. His entry foyer was the first area we started on with new Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint to brighten it up. His foyer's ceilings were 2 stories high so scaffolding was setup to make the job easier and safer. All his tile floors, railing, and carpeted stairway were covered with drop clothes and plastic was draped as needed to cover other areas not being painted. The rail, balusters, molding and doors were hand sanded to dull the old finish and get it ready for new paint and poly to stick properly. Gaps and nail holes were caulked and filled with wood putty for a smooth, even finish that looked flawless. Once everything was vacuumed and thoroughly wiped down to remove dust one coat of Benjamin Moore Impervo Satin bright white was applied. The walls were pole sanded to knock down snags and smooth them out for a consistent finish coat. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in the color Caramel Apple were applied as the finish coats. Here is how his foyer turned out. Next we will be repainting the kitchen, family room, sun porch, living room, office, all 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, the finished basement and in the spring the exterior from pine green to a light gray tbd.
