Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Mattydale New York. Vincent and Karen are getting ready to sell their parents home. After many years of wear and tear it was time to freshen up the outside to help it sell faster. After meeting with the two the quote was sent and accepted, date set, contract signed. Work began promptly a week later because they were under the gun to get it listed quickly and sold. So to start all the problem areas on the wood clapboards was thoroughly hand scraped and cut back using a 5 in 1 to lose the edge. Everything was contained using heavy mil plastic on the ground for little to no cleanup. The bare wood was oil primed then top coated with Purcells Regal Select Exterior flat white. Recently Donigan Painting completed a kitchen cabinet reface in Manlius New York. Ted and Tom just bought their first home together. Their oak kitchen cabinets from the 90's were still in great shape, they like the profile, so they decided to see the cost to paint them vs replace them along with counter tops. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accepted, date set, colors finalized, contract signed. About a month later we began. First all the cabinet doors were removed and setup in their attached garage in a make shift spray area. The doors and cabinets were thoroughly sanded to remove the finish, then cleaned. Two coats of Purcell's Seal Grip Primer by PPG was sprayed and brushed in. The cabinet's were sanded again before two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd was sprayed on giving a glass like finish that is very very close to a factory finish. Once everything had setup for a few days the doors were rehung with new hardware and pulls that were drilled to fit.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt New York. Joe and Jennifer just bought a home with very dated wallpaper in their bathrooms. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent-accepted, date set, contract signed, colors finalized. work started about a month later. First the two layers of wallpaper were removed using tried and true painters practices. Once the paper was the removed the walls were skin coated with joint compound, sanded and primed. Since the paper was not put on correctly it took alot of effort to get it all off and cleaned. Once prep work was completed one coat of Purcell's Muresco Ceiling Paint was applied followed by two coats of their Benjamin More Regal Select in two light greys, Cumulus Cloud-Shoreline. The doors and molding were caulked and scuffed then top coated with two coats of Sherwin Williams ProClassic ultra white semigloss.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Skaneateles New York. Steve and Debbie were getting ready to sell their large family home to downsize. After we met and discussed their needs the quote was sent and accepted, date set, contract signed, colors finalized. Work began promptly a month later. To start counters-cabinets-floors were covered with drop cloths-painters plastic. Prep work included making small repairs to the walls with joint compound, caulking gaps around the molding and sanding the walls to smooth with fine grit sandpaper for a glass like finish with the top coats. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was brushed and rolled followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Classic Grey eggshell finish. The base molding was sand scuffed-wiped down and top coated with Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd for a superior-tough finish.

Since their entire first floor was being painted top to bottom, we started with prepping the walls by making small repairs with joint compound, pole sanding them to smooth, covering all surfaces with drop cloths-painters plastic. Once prep was complete two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was applied brushed and rolled. Following this two coats of Purcell's Paints Benjamin Moore Regal Select Simple White eggshell finish were applied in each room for a uniform look. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Cicero, NY. Robert just bought a new home off of Route 11. He wanted to repaint all the walls in the first-floor rooms. After meeting to discuss his needs and time frame we set the date, colors were finalized, the contract was signed. Work began promptly a month later. Since Rob is single and just moved in their was barely any furniture making life easy and providing him with a nice discount for not having to move furniture. To start prep work was competed that included sanding the walls, small repairs, and caulking. The house is only a few years old so everything was in great shape. Two coats of Purcell's Regal Select Classic Grey eggshell were applied brushed and rolled followed by two coats of Ben Moore Advance Alkyd bright white semigloss. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Manlius New York. Dr. Goodwin wanted to update his sons bedroom and repaint the large kitchen ceiling. After meeting to discuss his needs we set the date, finalized the colors, sent the contract. Work began promptly a month later starting in his sons bedroom. The furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, the wood floors covered with drop cloths, hardware was taped and masked. Two coats of Muresco Ceiling Paint were applied followed by two coats of Pewter eggshell finish. The molding was one coated with Purcells Advance Alkyd brught white semigloss. Following this the kitchen cabinets-counters and everyhting else was throughly covered-taped-masked before three coats and multiple floats of previous painters mistakes were fixed. The results were perfet just like the Dr ordered. Thanks for all the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Cazenovia New York. Cindy and Glen are preparing for their daughters wedding at their home this month. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was accepted, date was set, contract sent, colors finalized. Work began promptly about a month later. To start the wallpaper in their 2 bathrooms was removed. The paste backer was scraped off and throughly washed with hot hot water to remove any remaining paste. Once the wall were dry they were sanded with fine grit pole sander to remove snags. REpairs were made to the walls with joint compound, where sanded, cleaned and primed. In the first floor bathroom a large hole was wallpapered over where the old mirror cabinet had been. The hole was blocked out and resheet rocked to match the wall. One coat of Purcells PPG Seal Grip Acrylic Primer was applied to the walls. While this was drying two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was applied. Two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Regal Select Pewter and Cream Soda eggshell were applied. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd brilliant white semigloss were applied to the door-window-base molding-vanities. Next the stairway-hall was prepped then one coat of ceiling paint was applied followed by two coats of Dellwood Sand. The balusters-stringers-treads-molding-doors were two coated with Advance. Next their family rooms wood paneling and wainscotting ceiling were transformed. Two coats of the same primer was applied top to bottome. Their very old windows were caulked to perfection saving them for another decade. Here is how it all turned out! Thank you for all the work!
