Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Jamesville, NY. Maria wanted to splash some new colors in her kitchen, living room and master bedroom. These rooms had not been painted in 10 years, had some wear-tear, and had dated colors. I recommended light grays because they are very trendy right now and easy to decorate. After applying a few different samples from Benjamin Moore she decided on Revere Pewter for each room. To start we repainted the ceilings with Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint, a bright white dead flat sheen. This set the stage for the walls to shine with two coats of Ben Moore Regal Select in an eggshell finish applied following. To bring it all together one coat of BM's Impervo Satin white was applied to the base-door-window molding and doors in each of these rooms. Everything turned out beautifully. Prior to applying paint a fair amount of time was put in to the prep work which included sanding the walls to smooth, scuffing molding-doors with fine grit sandpaper, filling nail-screw holes, caulking gaps, and filling nail holes with wood putty. Her house was left spotless and ready to decorate when we made are exit.
