Recently Donigan Painting restored a house on Brattle Road in Syracuse's Northside-Sedgwick Neighborhood. Peter has a cedar clapboard home with wood window molding that needed minor hand scraping, to be cleaned, oil spot primed, caulked around windows/doors and some window glazing. For the most part the prep work went quickly and we were able to deliver a quick turn around during this early spring season. Since there has been a lot of rain and humidity this year I recommended using a paint product by Sherwin-Williams called Resilience in a bright flat white and a satin maroon for the trim-molding. This exterior paint is specially formulated to work well during very rainy periods because it sets up quick and has exceptional moisture resistance so if it rains it won't wash off. This is our go to product for a lot of projects around Central NY because of the rapid changes in weather. Resilience is also 100% acrylic so it sticks like glue to surfaces. The home owners were impressed with the results and are having us return this winter for a bunch of interior painting.
