Donigan Painting recently completed an exterior repaint in Dewitt New York. Faye is getting ready for the summer by painting the exterior of her house. Since the weather has been unusually warm this winter the exterior painting season has continued from the fall. Since her home is a newer build and needed nothing more than a pressure wash we were able to complete the outside in the warmer weather this winter, After pressure washing prep work included sanding down a few rought cedar boards-nailing down loose board. Two coats of Purcell's Arbor Coat Solid Stain were sprayed-brushed-rolled onto the siding in a navy blue. Two coats were needed for such a dark color and to maximize the life of the coating.

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Manlius New York. Dave and Michelle just bought a new home and wanted to update the colors. After setting an appointment we met to discuss their needs and timeline. Once this was established, I gave them a quote on the spot that was followed up with an email written quote. We set the date, signed the contract, received the deposit, finalized colors and arranged access for the vacant house with a key. Work started a few weeks later. WE began by covering all the floors with clean drop cloths, removing outlet-switch covers-removing hardware. Counters, cabinets, windows, fixtures were taped-masked to protect them from overspray. Dings-dents-scratches were repaired with joint compound-sanded-cleaned-spot primed. Gaps around all the molding were caulked then the molding was sanded to remove the sheen-shine for the best adhesion. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint were sprayed brushed and rolled. Following this their choice colors in Sherwin Williams Super Paint were applied twice brushed and rolled. One coat of Sherwin Williams Proclassic Urethane was brushed and rolled onto all the molding in ultra white satin finish to wrap this one up.

Donigan Painting recently completed a whole interior repaint on Syracuse Universities Westcott St. Allen just bought a large single-family colonial that needed the entire interior repainted. We met to discuss his needs. After we figured exactly what he wanted done the quote was emailed and accepted. Work was scheduled to begin a few weeks later. We setup the empty house with clean drop cloths covering all the hardwood floors, masked windows-cabinets-counters-fixtures. Repairs were made to the ceiling and walls with joint compound, then sanded, cleaned, spot primed. One coat of Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint was sprayed on all the ceilings. Following these two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Simply White eggshell was brushed and rolled onto each room's walls. The base-window-door molding was cleaned-sanded-caulked then two coats with Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd white semigloss. Enjoy!

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior in Dewitt, New York. Lorrie just bought a townhouse in The Hamlet and needed to update the colors throughout. After meeting with her to discuss her needs a quote was emailed same day and accepted. Work was scheduled to start a few weeks later before she moved in. We started with placing clean drop cloths over all the floors, removing switch-outlet-register covers, and removing all the raised panel doors. Repairs were made to the wall's dings-dents-scratches with joint compound and a few areas of the ceiling that were damaged were floated and retextured. One rooms wallpaper was removed, and the walls thoroughly cleaned to remove the paste. All walls were then pole sanded to smooth. One coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was sprayed on all ceilings. Following these two coats of her choice colors in Sherwin Williams Super Paint were brushed and rolled. IN Between coats her 15 doors were setup in a spray area in the basement. Each door was machine and hand sanded to remove the sheen then wiped down with a clean rag. Following prep on the doors two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance White Satin were sprayed on the with a fine tip finish. New hardware was installed and the doors were rehung.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Solvay, New York. Jon and Lisa just bought a very large home on Woods Ave that needed alot of interior painting. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accepted. Work was scheduled to begin about a month later. We began with setting up the house with clean drop cloths, taping-masking as needed, removing registers-outlet/switch covers. Each rooms walls were pole sanded to smooth, dings-dents-scratches were repaired, gaps caulked around the molding. Each ceiling was two coated with Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint. Following these two coats of Benjamin Moore REgal Select were applied to the walls. The molding was sand scuffed with fine grit paper and cleaned. Two coats of Advance Alkyd were brushed and rolled in ultra white semigloss.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint at the Polish Home in Syracuse. Mike called a few weeks ago for a quote to repaint a rooms ceiling. They had ripped out old paneling and wanted to freshen it up with new paint. A quote was given on the spot and accepted. Work was scheduled to start this month. We started last week, and it took about a day to complete the work. First clean drop cloths were placed on the floor, hardware was masked, the recessed lighting was pulled. Two coats of flat black were sprayed onto the ceiling. The heating duct was painted a copper color, and the remaining paneling was painted ultra white to brighten up the windowless room. It took 6 gallons to cover a 300 sqft area of floor joists. So, if you are planning to paint your basement or attic ceiling, you'll need more paint than you may think. Donigan Painting recently completed refinishing Kitchen cabinets for a client in Syracuse New York. Lisa decided to paint her kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them and spending a ton of money. Her oak cabinets were in great condition. Painting them and adding updated hardware brought them new life. After meeting with her the quote was sent and accepted. The work would be done onsite in her basement. A spray booth was set up with painters' plastic-drop cloths-ventilation for her cabinets. The project began with removing the doors-drawers-hardware. Wood putty was used to fill the old hardware holes-sanded-cleaned. Once the work area was setup each door-drawer-cabinet were machined sanded with 220 grit sandpaper front to back. Following this they were meticulously cleaned with a hepa vacuum and clean rags to remove all dust-sediment. Once clean one coat of Purcells Seal-Grip Acrylic Primer was sprayed on with a fine tip airless pump. Once dry each side was again sanded for maximum adhesion. Next two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd Chantile Lace satin finish were applied with the sprayer. After setting up for 48 hours new hardware holes were drilled precisely. The brushed nickel pulls-hinges were installed and the door-drawers were hung.
