Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint at the Polish Home in Syracuse. Mike called a few weeks ago for a quote to repaint a rooms ceiling. They had ripped out old paneling and wanted to freshen it up with new paint. A quote was given on the spot and accepted. Work was scheduled to start this month. We started last week, and it took about a day to complete the work. First clean drop cloths were placed on the floor, hardware was masked, the recessed lighting was pulled. Two coats of flat black were sprayed onto the ceiling. The heating duct was painted a copper color, and the remaining paneling was painted ultra white to brighten up the windowless room. It took 6 gallons to cover a 300 sqft area of floor joists. So, if you are planning to paint your basement or attic ceiling, you'll need more paint than you may think.
