Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Syracuse New York. Bobby and Anna wanted to update their dining room and half baths look with new paint. We have been doing business for years, so I gave them the quote over the phone, being very familiar with their home, for the rooms they wanted painted. They accepted the quote and scheduled the work for the next available date which was about two weeks later for this day job. Work began promptly the following week. We started by centering and covering the furniture with painters' plastic. Drop cloths were placed on the floors, hardware was masked with painter's paper. The walls and ceiling were lightly scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to smooth out inconsistencies. Repairs were made to the walls with joint compound, sanded smooth, cleaned and spot primed for no flashing. Once prep work was done one coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was applied. Following these two topcoats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select were applied in their chosen colors. Rooms were reset and cleaned.

Interior Painting Diningroom Hallways Doors Molding Ceilings Syracuse New York

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville Manlius New York. Dr.Smith needed his dining room, upstairs hall and entry hall repainted before he moved in his new home. We met to discuss specifically what he would like done, how soon he would like it done. Once I had the specs the quote was typed up and emailed immediately. He responded to confirm he wanted the work done we set the date, signed the contract, finalized colors and got to work. We began later that month and completed the work well ahead of his move in date. Work started with laying out clean drop cloths, taping-masking cabinets, hardware, molding. Each rooms walls were lightly sanded with fine grit sandpaper to remove imperfections. Dings-dents-scratches-holes were repaired with joint compound then sanded flush, cleaned and spot primed. The raised panel doors, base molding, door molding, window molding, balusters were lightly scuffed, cleaned, caulked then top coated with Benjamin Moore Advance alkyd ultra white semigloss One coat of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint was rolled on. Following these two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in eggshell finish were brushed and rolled. Each room was thoroughly cleaned before we finished.

Exterior Interior Painter Syracuse New York

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Jamesville Dewitt New York. Dr.Sah called us back to do some more work this time at his new home down the street from his current house that we painted last spring. His new home is a very large colonial that he wanted painted before his family moved in. We met initially to figure out what exactly he wanted done and the quote was emailed and accepted. We scheduled the work as soon as we could to meet his deadline for moving in during February break. He decided to go with the same colors in the house from the previous owner. The colors for each rooms walls were matched at Sherwin Williams from old paint cans left behind. Work started with setting up the interior protecting the hardwood floors, kitchen cabinets, carpet and molding with drop cloths-painters plastic-paper. Switch-outlet covers were removed as well as any old hardware in the walls. Repairs were made with joint compound to ding-dents-scratches-holes then sand flush, cleaned and spot primed. A few water damaged sections of the kitchen ceiling were removed, repaired with spackle, sanded and retextured to match the pattern. The entire kitchen and family room ceiling was then painted with flat white ceiling paint. Two coats of paint were applied to all the walls for maximum color retention. portions of base molding were repainted to freshen them up and the job was completed.

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Jamesville Dewitt New York. Dr. Sah previously had us repaint portions at his first home a few months ago. We just repainted his new home around the corner last week and now his first home needs some freshing up before it is put up for sale. The foyer-kitchen-bathroom-family room all needed a fresh coat of paint. Once he moved into his new home we got right to work and setup are clean drop cloths over the carpeting and hardwood floors. Kitchen cabinets-counters-fixtures-hardware were taped and masked to protect them from paint. Repairs were made to the walls-base molding using joint compound to fill dings-dents-scratches-holes then sanded flush and spot primed to prevent flashing with the new paint. Walls were lightly sanded to remove irregularities and provide the smoothest surface to apply new paint. The same colors were color matched so only one coat of paint would be necessary to clean it up. One coat of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select in eggshell finish were brushed and rolled onto the walls providing a beautiful clean surface to all prospective buyers for great first impressions.

Recently Donigan Painting of Syracuse, NY completed an interior repaint in Jamesville-Dewitt's Riverbirchfield/Yellow wood Parkway Neighborhood Development. Dr. Sah called for more work to be done at his new home around the corner from his old home. He just bought a large colonial that needed to be painted to his families taste in color. We met to walk thru the property and discuss his family's needs prior to moving in next month. His family liked a lot of the colors on the walls already and preferred to apply a fresh coat of the same colors in most rooms. A few areas walls had the colors changed that had very dark hues. We started work promptly about a week ago. Setup included covering the hardwoods and carpeting with clean drop cloths, masking cabinets-counters-hardware, removing hardware. Repairs were made to all the walls with joint compound to fill dings-dents-scratches-holes then sanded-cleaned-spot primed to prevent flashing. The kitchen ceiling had a few water stains from a leaky bathroom pipe that were primed with oil primer to seal them and prevent yellowing. The kitchen-family room ceiling looked like it had a bunch of recessed lighting removed and a poorly repaired hole-texture applied which we corrected to match the rest of the ceiling. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was sprayed onto this areas large ceiling. Next the navy blue walls also in this area were primed with Purcells PPG Seal Grip to neutralize the color for a lighter top coat to lighten these rooms up with better natural light. The vaulted ceilings in the living room were also painted with the same product. Following this one coat of the sage green and cream were reapplied brushed and rolled with a 3/8s nap for a super smooth finish. Once the ceilings were dry one coat of each rooms same colors was color matched and applied. The master bedroom had an accent wall painted in a dark blue and the other three walls color matched and topcoated. The dining room-upstairs hallway maroon was color matched and top coated with the same colors. Thank you for your business. It was my pleasure. Enjoy your beautiful new home.

Interior Exterior Painter House Painting Contractor Decks Carpentry Remodels Syracuse New Yrok

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint of Kitchen cabinets this month. Joe and Lisa just bought a new home in Dewitt with dated kitchen cabinets that were in great condition. New counters were installed by the seller getting the kitchen remodel half way there according to them. After meeting with them to look at their project and explain my process the quote was sent and accepted. Work was scheduled to start about a month later. Fortunately, all the work could be done onsite because they have a large basement space that can be used for the painting. Work started promptly about a month later. We removed all the kitchen cabinet doors-drawers-hardware. Awork area was setup in the basement to prep and spray the doors and drawers. Each unit was sanded with fine grit 220 to remove the finish and scuff the surface for optimal adhesion of the primer. Once each side was sanded, they were vacuumed and wiped down to remove any small particles. One coat of Purcells PPG Seal Grip Primer was applied with an airless sprayer using a fine tip. The kitchen cabinets inner rails and fascia were prepared the same way then primed. After drying for 24 hours everything was lightly sanded again and cleaned. One coat of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd was applied to both sides and the cabinets then allowed to dry for 48 hours. New pulls were drilled and installed along with new hinges. The doors and drawers were rehung and we cleaned up. Workmanship is guaranteed for 20 years.

Interior Exterior House Painting Contractor Painter Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing Decks Syracuse New York

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in the Syracuse University Neighborhood. Nat wanted to repaint all his homes base-window-door-crown molding -doors, built ins, fireplace mantle, stairway risers-stringers-balusters-rails, a few ceiling repairs from light installation that needed new sheetrock-mud-retexturing-paint to match. He also wanted his home gyms solid wood paneling primed then painted as well as the rooms walls in bright white gloss and a sage green. The quote was sent and accepted. The start date was set, contract signed, details finalized. Work started a few weeks later. We started by sand scuffing all the molding with fine grit sandpaper to lightly agitate the surface for better adhesion. Counters-cabinets-hardware-furniture were covered with painters plastic, floors with clean drop cloths. Repairs were made to the ceilings first. New pieces of circular sheetrock were cut out to match the holes in the kitchen ceiling and livingroom ceiling and secured using wood then mudded to flush, sanded, cleaned, spot primed, textured and top coated with matching paint. Caulk was pplied to gaps-racks-nail holes and knocked down. Two coats of Purcells Benajmin Moore Advance alkyd were applied brushed and rolled to setup like glass in a bright white gloss finish. The doors in the upstairs hallway were given two coats of the same product. We primed the gyms wood paneling with PPG's Seal Grip and caulked the gaps. One sprayed top coat of Advance was applied for a factory finish. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Sage Eggshell were applied to the walls brushed and rolled.
