 Recently Donigan painting completed an exterior repaint in Dewitt, New York.  Dan just bought his first house and wanted the exterior cedar clapboard stained.  Last winter before Dan moved here, I painted the entire interior top to bottom.  This fall while the weather was still warm the house was pressure washed to remove dirt, dust, cobwebs, etc.  After drying out we began prep work that included hand scraping-cutting back peeling paint and stain.  We clean as we go and follow environmentally safe practices for debris.  Next, we hand, and machine sanded areas to feather them in for consistency.  Gaps and seams were caulked with 30 years paintable siliconized caulk.  One coat of bright white eggshell exterior paint from Sherwin Williams product Super Paint was brushed and sprayed on the window molding, fascia, soffit, doors.  Following this two coats of Purcell's Arbor Coat Solid stain were applied. After the shutters were cleaned and sanded one coat of antique white was sprayed on and they were rehung.  Thank you for all the work!

 Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse Tipperary Hill Neighborhood.  Joe just bought a two family house of of Avery Ave.  He gutted the entire house and had new sheetrock installed top to bottom.  After meeting to discuss his needs the quote was sent and accepted and the date was set.  Work began a few weeks.  Since it was unoccupied and the floors were still not done setup went fast.  Prep work included vacuuming and wiping down all the ceilings and walls to remove the dust left from the sheet rock finishers.  Once everything was clean one coat of Purcells PPG Seal Grip was sprayed onto the ceilings and walls then back rolled and brushed in.  After this setup over night the following morning we blew out all the ceilings with Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint.  This was sprayed on then also back rolled to puch it in.  The next day we broke out the 18" rollers and applied two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in Simply white eggshell finish.  The base-window-door molding was scuffed with fine grit sandpaper then top coated twice Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Enamel in bright white semigloss finish.  Thank you for all the work Joe!

 Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint on Syracuse's Northside.  Al wanted to update his daughter's bedroom from a pink to a teal now that she is a little older.  While I was there, he threw in their living room, half bath and entry also.  IN each room we started by covering the floors, centering furniture then covering it with painters' plastic.  Next repairs were made to the walls and ceilings using joint compound, sanded, and spot primed.  Gaps around window-door-base molding were caulked and knocked down with a wet rag.  The walls were pole sanded to smoother with 120 grit.  Once prep work was completed each ceiling was one coated with Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint.  Following these two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select were applied brushed and rolled in their color choices.  The molding is natural oak so we masked it with painters paper to retain its golden beauty.  Thank you for the work and enjoy!

 Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse Universities Park Commons.  Lisa and Jon are getting ready to sell their townhouse and wanted to freshen up a few rooms.  After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accepted.  work began a couple weeks later.  Their kitchen, living room and foyer were setup with drop cloths, painters plastic to cover furniture and masked off as needed.  One coat of ceiling paint was applied to the ceilings brushed and rolled using Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint bright white flat.  Following this two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in Classic grey was applied to the walls.  To wrap this one up the base molding in each area was one coated with Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Enamel bright white semigloss.

 Recently Donigan Painting completed a kitchen cabinet repaint for a new home buyer.  Richard and Bob just bought a new home in Dewitt New York.  Their kitchen cabinets are original from the 1960's.  They plan to remodel the kitchen eventually but wanted to update the cabinets colors until then.  Since we were just onsite painting their main floor a few weeks ago they asked for a quote to do the cabinets at the time and now have proceeded.  We started by removing all the doors and drawers along with the cabinet hardware.  In their basement we set up a contained work area to sand, prime and paint the doors and drawers.  Each door was sanded with 220 grit sandpaper to remove the factory finish and knock off irregularities.  They were vacuumed and wiped down then primed with an airless sprayer.  One coat of Purcell's PPG Seal Grip Primer was applied to both sides over a two-day period and allowed to setup for 24 hours.  After this they were sanded again and thoroughly cleaned.  Two finish coats of Benjamin Moore Advance alkyd in ultra white satin finish were applied with an airless sprayer over the course off 4 days for a factory finish, which is no brush or roller marks.  Spraying cabinets is the equivalent of what you get when you buy painted cabinets from the store. They are flawless.  Once they setup for a couple days new hardware was installed and the doors-drawers were rehung.  Enjoy your update!

 Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville New York.  Dominick just bought an home to rent as an Airbnb.  The house was previously owned for many years and never updated in decades.  After meeting to discuss his needs, the quote was sent and accepted.  We started a few weeks later.  His plan was to use a light grey throughout the house for a uniform look and to update.  Setup included covering the hardwood floors, taping-masking cabinets-counters-hardware, removing hardware as needed.  The walls and ceiling were repaired with joint compound, pole sanded and cleaned.  Two coats of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint were sprayed on the ceilings.  Following this two coats of Ultra Spec in Classic Grey eggshell was applied brushed and rolled.  The window-door-base molding was scuffed and two coated with Benjamin Moore's Advance Alkyd ultra white satin.  Good Luck!

 Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Syracuse Sedgwick Neighborhood.  Michelle and Paul just bought a home on Sedgwick Drive. We met about a month ago to discuss what they wanted done.  After getting a better idea of their wishes the quote was sent and accepted and the start date set.  Work began about a month later.  The house was empty, so setup was a breeze.  Clean drop cloths were placed over the hardwoods throughout, painters plastic was put over kitchen cabinets-counters-fixtures-windows.  Repairs were made to walls with jiont compound, seams caulked, molding-doors-walls sanded to remove imperfections and scuff the surfaces.  One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was sprayed in each room for a fresh-bright white to reflect the new wall colors.  Theu chose a bunch of Earth tones in eggshell finishs for wall colors.  In the living room, entry, diningroom, kitchen they went with Simply White.  The doors and molding were sprayed with Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance bright white semigloss for a factory finish, no brush or roller marks.
