Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior kitchen cabinet repaint in Camillus, New York. Ava just decided to paint her dated oak kitchen cabinets instead of spending a small fortune replacing them. After meeting to discuss her needs a quote was given on the spot and accepted. Work was scheduled to begin a couple weeks later. To begin each cabinets doors and drawers are carefully removed and setup in a spray booth in the basement. Once in the work area the door-drawers hardware is carefully removed and stored. Each cabinets contents are sealed inside to save on having to remove all of them with painter's plastic. Next each door-drawer-cabinet face/rail is hand-machine sanded with fine grit paper and thoroughly cleaned with a vacuum then wiped down to remove all fine dust particles. After thorough sanding-cleaning one coat of Purcell's Seal Grip Primer is sprayed-brushed-rolled onto surfaces. Once the primer has setup for 24 hours the finish coats can be applied. Two coats of Purcells Advance Alkyd were then fine tip airless sprayed on each side of the door-drawers. The cabinets face-rail were brushed and rolled with the same product. After the cabinets are allowed to dry for a few days new hardware is installed and the doors-drawers are rehung. Enjoy!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Solvay New York. Brian and Lisa just bought a fixer upper with alot of character. Their 1920's colonial had fell into disrepair after years of being unoccupied. After meeting with them to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accpeted. Work was scheduled to start about a month later when the weather got colder. Since they had not moved in yet setup was a breeze. Clean drop cloths were placed over all the hardwood floors, cabinets-counters-hardware were masked. About half of the hoes rooms were wall papered and needed to be removed. Each rooms wallpaper was throughly soaked with DIF then carefully removed to not further damage the walls. All of the paste was scrubbed of the walls with very hot water. Once the paper was all removed repairs were made to the walls with joint compound, it was sanded, then cleaned, then primed with Purcells Seal-Grip Primer. The base-window-door molding was machine sanded to remove the glossy finish then cleaned to remove dust. Gaps and seam were caulked as needed with 50 year siliconized-acrylic caulk. Nail holes were filled with painters putty-sanded-cleaned. One coat of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint was sprayed onto each rooms ceilings. Following this all the molding was sprayed with a fine tip sprayer so there would be no brush marks. Once the molding had setup for a few days it was taped-masked with painters paper to protect it from paint for the walls. Next two coats of their colors were brushed-rolled onto the walls to wrap this one up.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Manlius, New York. Mike just bought a house he's flipping and needed a rush paint job on before the snow flies. After meeting to discuss his needs a quote was given on the spot and accepted. Work was scheduled to begin immediately while temperatures were still above freezing. Luckily prep work was minimal and the aluminum siding just needing alight cleaning. Since he chose a color close to the existing one spraying it over went quite fast. After masking the windows-doors-hardware one coat of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint flat was sprayed onto the aluminum. Masking was removed and discarded, and we cleaned up the site.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool New York. Mike and Melissa wanted to update their oak kitchen cabinets from the 90's with a coat of paint versus paying a whole lot more to replace them. After meeting to discuss their needs, a quote was given on the spot and followed u with a typed copy that was emailed the next morning. Work was scheduled to start a few weeks later. To begin a work area was setup in their basement with tables and painters' plastic to enclose the spray area. Next each cabinets doors and drawers were carefully removed, and hardware stored for reuse. Each door and drawer were machine sanded with fine grit sandpaper-vacuumed -wiped down-then filled as needed. Once cleaned thoroughly each surface was primed with oil for a very strong bond. Next three coats of Purcells Advance Alkyd in Simply White satin were applied with an fine tip airless sprayer. In between each coat each cabinet was sanded and cleaned to promote the strongest bond. The cabinets were dried for two days before drilling in new pulls and installing new hinges before being rehung.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt New York. Sarah and Jon just bought a new home and before moving in wanted to paint it top to bottom. After meeting with them to discuss their needs, the quote was sent, accepted, and date set for work to begin. We started a few weeks later. To begin clean drop cloths were laid out over all the hardwood floors. Cabinets-counters-hardware-fixtures were masked with painters' plastic-paper. Switch-cover plates and registers were removed and stored. Prep work included repairing walls that were scratched-dented-dinged with joint compound, pole sanding walls to smooth, removing screws-nails-hardware. All the raised panel doors were removed and setup in a spray area in the basement. Each door was machine sanded to remove the glossy shine then wiped down with a clean rag. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint were sprayed in each room. Following this two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar 200 in their choice colors were brushed and rolled onto to each rooms walls. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProClassic Ultra white semi-gloss were sprayed with a fine tip for a glass finish. Each door was fitted with new hardware and rehung.

REcently Donigan Painting of Syracuse completed an interior repaint in Eastwood. Andy and Lauren just bought their first home. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accpeted. Work was scheduled to began a few weeks later. To begin we coverd all the floors with clean drop cloths, taped-masked the counters-cabinets-hardware-windows. Prep work entailed sanding the walls to smooth with fine grit paper, repairing dings-dents-scratches with joint compound, caulking gaps around molding, cleaning dust. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was then spraed throughout. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore's REgal Select in Simply White eggshell was applied brushed-rolled. The raised panel doors were removed and setup in in a spray jig in their basment. Each doors hardware was removed, the doors were then machine sanded with fine grit paper and cleaned. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd white were sprayed on each. Once cured the doors were rehung with new brushed nickel hardware. Thank you for the work!

Prep work included sanding the walls, making repairs as needed with joint compound, caulking gaps around molding and cleaning as needed. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was brushed-sprayed-rolled. Following this two coats of Purcells Regal Select in Classic Grey eggshell was brushed and rolled.
