Recently Donigan Panting completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Andy and his wife just bought a new home by Township 5 and wanted to update the old paint with a fresh color scheme throughout. So to start they went to Purcell's Paints to receive a free color consultation by their very helpful interior designer. Once they had picked their colors/sheens we set the date, signed the contract and work began a few weeks later. They had a move in date for the week before Christmas so we went right to work.

To start all hardware-cabinets-fixtures-counters were taped-draped with painters plastic or paper. Next all the walls throughout their 4500 sqft house were sanded to remove irregularities then repaired with joint compound as needed. The baseboards-window molding-door molding-doors were also sanded to remove their polyurethane finish. Two coats of PPG's Seal Grip Primer were then applied and allowed a week. Two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint(flat) were then applied to the ceilings. Following this the walls were cut in and two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint was applied. Once the walls had enough time to setup Frog Tape/Painters Paper were placed around all the molding-doors and two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic bright white semi-gloss were applied. All hardware was replaced, we cleaned up and they moved in ahead of schedule. Thank you for all the work! Best Wishes in your new home. Happy Holidays

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville, NY. John just bought a new home and wanted to update the colors. After meeting to discuss the scope of what he needed done the quote was emailed and accepted. We started a few weeks later in order to meet his dead line to move in. Color where chosen prior to starting and work began promptly Monday morning of that week. We started by removing hardware, outlet-switch covers, registers, etc. Next walls were repaired with joint compound and allowed to dry before they were sanded to flush, primed. Floors, cabinets, counters, fixture's were covered with drop cloth's-plastic-tape. Next two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint where applied. Following this all the walls were pole sanded to smooth and vacuumed. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint Revere Gray eggshell finish were then applied. The baseboard-window-door molding was scuffed to remove the finish and cleaned. Gaps were caulked and nail holed were filled with putty. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic white semi-gloss were then applied.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt, NY. John and Gina just purchased a new home that needed some updating. The 80's wallpaper and wood paneling had to go. So to start all of the wood paneling and wallpaper was carefully removed. Looking up at the popcorn ceilings afterward they decided lets get rid of that. After covering the floors with heavy mil plastic the ceilings through out their 3000 sqft house were saturated with water and the popcorn was scraped off. Once everything was cleaned up most of the ceiling and walls needed to be floated with joint compound, sanded and primed. The doors, base-window-door-crown molding were scuffed and cleaned. Once the prep work was completed one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied through out. Following this two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in an off white eggshell were applied. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic were applied to the doors and molding sprayed for no strokes. Thank you for the work and enjoy your new home!

Recently Donigan painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Lisa and Larry just bought a new home off of West Genesee Street that was dated from top to bottom with wall paper and cigarettes' stains. The previous owners had lived for over 50 years and added room after room of wall paper. They were also smokers so yellowing staining was through out most of the house. Typically smokers homes need to be completely coated with Kilz Oil Primer. Although to start on this one the better part of a week was spent removing wall paper and paste. Once the multiple layers of wall paper had been removed most of the walls needed extensive repairs with joint compound. After a few coats of mud the walls were sanded down to smooth, cleaned. The joint compound was top coated with PPG's Seal Grip Acrylic to seal the joints so no flashing occurred. Next one coat of the Kilz Oil Primer were applied to the ceilings. After it setup one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied with a sprayer to heavily cover the textured ceilings. Once all the prep work was completed two coats Benjamin Moore Regal Select were applied in an eggshell finish middle gray. The base-door-window molding were scuff with fine grit sandpaper then wiped down. Caulking was applied to gaps as needed as well as wood putty to nail holes. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic bright White semi-gloss where then applied and allowed to set up before the Yellow Frog Tape was removed.

This past month Donigan Painting completed multiple interior painting projects for the Fairmount Fire Department. This past week we repainted their first floor meeting room. It had not been painted form the looks of it in decades. The walls are split with the upper portion being textured and the bottom wood paneling. The floor cove was removed to start. The wood paneling was primed with PPG's Seal-Grip Acrylic. Wall repairs were made, caulking was done as needed, the heat registers-door paneling were scuffed. Two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in Crushed Ice satin were applied to the upper portion of the walls. Once the primer had set up two coats of Sherwin's Grey Harbor were applied also in a satin finish Super Paint. Two coats of the grey were also applied to the heat registers and molding. Here is how it turned out!

Recently Donigan completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Josh works for the Camillus Fire Department and I recently painted the interior of his new home. After completion he called me to quote the fire stations house next door for student's. We started work yesterday prepping the walls. Dings-dents=scratches were repaired with joint compound, sanded, cleaned, and pried. The walls were pole sanded to smooth, furniture was centered and covered, floors were covered, hardware was removed, cabinet's-furniture were taped and draped with plastic. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint were applied to the walls. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic ultra white semi-gloss were applied to the entry doors. Thank you for the work Josh!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior house repaint in Camillus NY. Laura just bought a new home and wanted to update the colors to reflect her taste. After a color consultation and discussing the cost the contract was signed and work began a couple weeks later. To start the ceilings were top coated with one coat of PittsBurgh Ceiling Paint. Following this prep work was completed that included: Removing wallpaper borders, repairing dings-dents-holes in the walls with joint compound, pole sanding the walls to smooth. The molding throughout was scuffed with fine grit sand paper, wiped down then caulked as needed. Next two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in Revere Pewter was applied. Once this had set up two coats of Benjamin Moore's Regal Classic semi-gloss ultra white was applied to the molding.
