Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville New York. Mr and Mrs M. wanted to freshen up their kitchen-family room-dining room- stairway, master and master bath. To start surfaces not being painted were taped/masked, covered, protected. Once rooms were setup for painting wall repairs were made, the walls were pole sanded to smooth, gaps-holes were caulked, molding was scuffed and cleaned. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Eggshell in Cedar Key and Smoked Taupe were applied to the walls. One coat of Regal Select Classic in bright white semi-gloss was applied to the base-door molding. A few repairs were made to the crown molding in the foyer that had buckled slightly. The portions that had raised on the crown molding were carefully cut out with a utility knife then filled with wood putty, sanded, primed then top coated to match. To wrap this one up furniture was reset, switch plates were replaced and we cleaned up.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Meadow Brook Neighborhood. Justin decided after two years in his home it was time to update the inside to match his taste. He wanted to paint the first and second floor ceilings-walls-molding-doors. The previous owner loved there since the house was built so it was in need of an update. To start furniture and belongings were centered and covered with painters plastic, hardware was removed. Dings-dents were filled with joint compound, gaps were caulked and the walls were pole sanded to smooth. One large ceiling repair was done in the masterbedroom to cover up a bad patch job previously done. When prep work was completed, which included a cleaning dog hair, one coat of Purcell's Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied to bring them back to live. Next two coats of Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 eggshell finish in a bunch of different colors were applied. The molding and doors were scuffed to remove the finished then two coats of Emerald Enamel extra white semi-gloss were applied. hardware was replaced and furniture was reset to wrap this one up. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in S/Syracuse's Meadow-brook Neighborhood. Justin called for a quote about a month ago to repaint his first and second floors rooms. He bought the house two years ago and wanted to updated the colors to match his style. We started upstairs with the 3 bedrooms and hallway. The furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, the floors covered with drop cloths and hardware was removed as needed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied to the ceilings. The walls dings-dents were repaired with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. Gaps around the base-window-door molding were caulked. The doors were sand scuff to removed the finish and knobs removed for no brush marks. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 Eggshell in neutrals were applied to the walls. This week the downstairs is being completed to include the same for his kitchen, living room, hallways, 1st floor bath and dining room to include the built in shelves.

Recently Donigan Panting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Valley Neighborhood. Coral is selling her home and wanted to spruce things up to get top dollar before putting on the real estate market. She is a smoker so her concerns were the smell and the yellowing staining on the walls-ceilings-molding. I reassured her that with the right process and product covering both these issues would be a non-issue. In her dining room the plaster walls had been wallpapered around when the house was built, in the 1920's, and painted over many times that it was no pulling away from the wall popping up and flaking off. To remedy this problem the sections in question were carefully cut out and filled with joint compound to be flush with the current paper-wall. Once the compound set up it was sanded down-cleaned and primed so the top coat would not flash. Furniture, cabinets, counters etc were taped and draped with painters plastic, floors covered with drop cloths, hardware removed and stored. Next all the ceilings-walls-molding were pole sanded, dings-dents were repaired, gaps were caulked and one thick coat of KILZ Oil Primer was applied. The dining room ceiling was a bit more stubborn with the staining so two coats were applied. The molding throughout was scuffed and wiped down, then primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was then applied for a perfect white ceilings throughout to reflect the light on the new color. Next two coats of Benjamin Moore Ultra-Spec 500 eggshell sheen in Revere Pewter where applied. Once the walls had set up the molding was two coated with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel semi-gloss Bright White. Here is how it tuened out!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint on Syracuse's Northside Neighborhood. Billy called to get a quote to paint his kitchen, entry hall, and two bathrooms. To start we repaired wall damage with joint compound that included dings-dents-cracks. Cabinets-counters-fixtures were covered with painters plastic, floors with drop cloth's. The walls were pole sanded to smooth, the molding was scuffed-cleaned-caulked. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior in an off-white- eggshell finish were applied. Once the walls set up the molding was taped out and two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel Satin bright white were applied. Furniture and fixtures were reset and we cleaned up.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint on Syracuse's Northside. Bill decided to update his master bathrooms color and vanity. To start the old vanity was removed along with the original iron plumbing. The old metal was cut out and new copper piping was installed along with new valves. The ceiling and walls ding-dents were filled with joint compound-sanded-cleaned-primed. A portion of the ceiling was scraped down and floated out to match the rest of the ceiling. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was then applied. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore's Regal Select Interior Eggshell in White Sand was applied. Once the paint set up the oak base molding was cut to fit the new vanity and top snug against the wall. The vanity counter's new brushed nickel faucet and drain were installed then the top was secured to the vanity. Once the top was set correctly the drain-trap was installed and tested for leaks of which there was none. Here is how it turned out!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse Universities Westcott Neighborhood. Julie just bought a new house near Barry Park and wanted to update the colors to her taste. The previous owner had not painted in years so the whole house needed a coat of paint from top to bottom. After sending the quote we set the date , signed the contract, finalized colors, and set up access. Julie choose and off white in an eggshell finish by Benjamin Moore Regal Select. To start cracks in the walls from the house settling were repaired, dings-dents and holes where filled, cleaned, and primed. The oak floors and carpeting were covered with drop cloths, counters-cabinets were taped and draped with plastic as well as hardware such as lights, etc. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint-flat-white- was then applied to all the ceilings on the first and second floors. Following this all the walls were pole sanded to remove in consistences. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select were then applied to the walls. After the paint set up two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel in bright white satin finish were then applied. Prior to painting the base-window-door molding surfaces were scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to remove the finish so the new paint would stick. This is a crucial step in prep work that ensures the paint will stick and not scratch off if you look at it wrong.
