Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Cicero, NY. Paul called for a quote to repaint his two story foyer, hallways and kitchen. After we met and the quote was sent he accepted the price and we scheduled the start date. Upon arriving Monday morning we started right in on the ceilings. Their were a dozen nail pops on their ceilings were the texture finish had popped off exposing a screw head. So each nail pop was floated out with joint compound, sanded then textured to match. Two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint were then applied by roller giving the ceilings a bright white flat finish. Switch -outlet covers and hardware were removed from the walls and stored. Cracks in the walls were repaired and the gaps between the molding and the walls were caulked for smooth lines. The walls were pole sanded, floors covered with drop cloths, cabinets and counters were taped and masked with painters plastic. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in a light gray eggshell finish were applied to the walls. Their raised panel doors and molding was scuffed to remove the finish, wiped down to remove the residue, then two coated with Ben Moore's Advanced Semi-gloss Enamel. Furniture was reset and the rooms hardware was replaced before we cleaned up.

This week Donigan Painting completed finishing a long time customers kitchens new sheet-rock. Mark and Kim called about a month ago for a quote to tape, mud and float 4 outside corners and 6 inside corners then prime and paint them. To start 4 pieces of metal corner bead were screwed into the corners then 3 coats of joint compound were applied. Six inside corners were installed using the plastic inside corner bead. All the joints were taped and floated with mud to flush. After a light sanding-cleaning the walls were primed with PPG's Seal-Grip Acrylic to seal the new sheet-rock. Once this had dried two top coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere in a light grey eggshell finish were applied. Here is how it looked before painting.

Recently Donigan Painting completed finishing a kitchens new sheet rocked walls and painting. Mark and Kim are previous customers and neighbors who live on the Northside. They called about a month ago to setup a week where I could finish their newly installed sheet rock and paint their remodeled kitchen. When work began we started by installing 4 corner-beads, 6 inside edges. Once they where installed all the joints were taped and mudded with three coats. After dry time it was lightly sanded, cleaned, primed with PPG"s Seal-Grip Acrylic. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in an off white eggshell finish were applied. Recently Donigan Painting completed and interior repaint in Camillus, NY. Martin called a few weeks ago for a quote to repaint his stairway and hall in his Shaker Heights home. The couple had painted most of their house and had enough of it was time to call in a pro. Enter Donigan Painting. To start hardware, switch-outlet covers were removed. The railing and floors were covered with drop cloths and painters plastic. Prep work included scuffing the base-window-door molding to remove the finish, repairing nail holes-inconsistencies, pole sanding the walls to smooth, caulking gaps, priming the stair stringers with shellac based oil primer to stp the wood from yellowing. Once prep was completed two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint were applied to the ceiling taking it from a light yellow to a ultra bright white dead flat. Once the ceiling set up two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald in Light French Gray were applied. Following this the stair stringers were primed then two coats with SW's ProClassic Semi-gloss Bright White.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool NY. Ira and his family are moving to New Hampshire and they needed to get their house ready to show to potential buyers. When we met he was concerned about the ceilings throughout their ranch. The master bedroom, kitchen and guest bedroom had ceiling damage as well as a dark colors painted on them. So to start furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, drop cloths were put down covering the hardwood floors, the ceiling damage was repaired with joint compound-retextured to match, and the ceilings were primed to neutralize the colors. After the primer set up two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint were applied. The guest bedroom was primed and top coated with Benjamin Moore Ultra-Spec 500 bright white eggshell. We cleaned up, reset furniture- hardware to wrap this one up.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Ilene just bought her first home and it had been neglected and needed some tlc. Her vaulted ceilings, beams, and walls were yellow and dirty. So to start the everything was wiped down and then scuffed with sandpaper to remove the finish for better adhesion of the new paint. Nail holes, cracks and crumbling corners were pointed and retextured to match. Gaps around the base, window, door molding were caulked and the walls were pole sanded. The built-ins were machine sanded, vacuumed and wiped down before one coat of PPG Seal Grip Primer was applied. Two coats of PPG Ceiling Paint flat white were applied first. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance in semigloss dark grey finish were applied to the beams. Three coats of Benjamin Moore Advance bright white semi-gloss were applied to the built-ins. Three coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere in a dark green flat were applied to the dining room walls. A section in the dining room that had a large built in was removed and the wall was floated with joint compound to flush. Once the mud set up one coat of primer was applied. Two coats of Sherwin-Willams ProMar200 in a light grey eggshell were applied to the living room and hallway walls. Once everything had enough time to setup two coats of the bright white semigloss were applied to the molding.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Jamesville NY. Mike needed his 20" ceiling stairway-upstairs hallway repainted. He painted most of his new homes first floor and ran out of steam headed upstairs. So after meeting and discussing his needs and expectations I sent a quote ans he accepted it a few days later. The contract was sent, the date was set, colors finalized and the deposit was mailed. When we started the floors were covered with drop cloths, the switch-outlet covers-hardware were removed as well as the railing. nail holes were patched and gaps around the base-window-door molding were caulked and scuffed for the new paint to adhere the best. Once prep work was completed two coats of PPG's Ceiling Paint were applied followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Revere Pewter eggshell. The door casings and molding were two coated with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel bight white satin finish. The covers and railing were reset and we cleaned up. Thanks for all the work Mike!
