Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in the Syracuse University Neighborhood. Craig had a kitchen fire about a week ago. I was called in to assess if it could be painted or if it was a complete loss. The homeowners stove caught on fire while cooking and released black smoke and soot all over their home leaving a terrible smell and staining on all the ceilings and portions of the walls it traveled along. So to start all the furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. The floors were covered with drop cloths and hardware was taped-masked. Three coats of Sherwin-Williams Shellac Primer was sprayed on and allowed to dry over night sealing in the smoke damage and eliminating the odor. The next day two coats of Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 were applied to the walls. Once everything had set up the furniture was unwrapped and reset.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Cicero, NY. Elda called for a quote to repaint her two story foyer and living room with vaulted ceilings. After discussing colors, time frame, and price we set a start date for a few weeks later. When we started we began by centering and covering the furniture in each room with painters plastic. Cabinets, counters and hardware were taped and masked with paper and plastic to protect them. Switch-outlet covers and hardware were removed and stored to be replaced. Prep work included cleaning the ceiling-walls-molding, pole sanding the walls to smooth, scuffing the molding to remove the shiny finish. Gaps around the molding were caulked and nail holes were wood puttied-sanded-primed. The floors were covered with drop cloths and we cut in the walls. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied to the ceilings. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in eggshell finishes were applied to the walls in Revere Pewter. To wrap this one up two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel bright white satin finish were applied. Furniture was reset and we removed plastic and tape then vacuumed.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Jamesville NY. Tim called for a quote to repaint his kitchen, hallway and basement. After meeting to look over the project, getting an idea about colors choices and giving him a on the spot quote he was ready to sign the contract. We set the start date for a few weeks later, showed up early Monday to began and got it done. We went from top to bottom in each room. Prep work included patching nail holes, pole sanding walls, cleaning, scuffing molding to remove the finish. Furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, switch-outlet covers and hardware were removed and stored. The floors were covered with drop cloths, surfaces not being painted were taped and masked with paper and plastic. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in eggshell finishes were applied to the walls. After the molding was caulked and cleaned two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel were applied in a bright white semi-gloss finish.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Manlius NY. Tony and Val are long time customers who just bought a new home. They called me before they moved in for an estimate to paint almost the whole interior. The previous owners were not smokers so the ceilings were in great shape. The walls and wood molding needed updates. We set the start date, signed off on the contract, and finalized colors for each room. We started on the second floor bedrooms and baths. Prep work included pole sanding the walls, vacuuming cob webs/dust, filling nail holes, scuffing the base-window-door molding, filling caulking gaps/nail holes in the molding, masking/taping surfaces, covering the floors with drop cloths. Once prep was completed two coats of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint in eggshell finishes were applied to all the walls. Two coats of oil primer were applied to the molding. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Enamel in bright white satin were applied to the molding to wrap this one up. Tape and plastic was removed and we cleaned up each area.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt NY. Sarah needed to update her living room and dining room. 90's wallpaper was keeping her rooms in a time warp and she was ready to come into this century. After colors were picked, the date was set, and the contract was signed we got right to work. To start we moved all the furniture to the center of the rooms and it was cover with painters plastic. The fixtures-surfaces not being painted were taped and masked off and the floors were covered with drop cloths. The wall paper was thoroughly soaked with DIF and piping hot water until it basically fell off the wall. Once the paper was removed the paste was scraped off with large putty knives then hand washed with hot water to get the paste residue removed. Small dings-dents were patched with joint compound, sanded, cleaned, primed. The walls and molding were scuffed to remove their gloss and any imperfections for a smooth-glass finish. Once prep work was completed the walls were cut in with Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Revere Pewter eggshell finish. The natural wood molding was nailed down as needed, caulked to fill gaps and two coated with Zinsser Oil Primer then top coated twice with Benjamin Moore Advanced bright white semigloss.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Skaneateles NY. Cheryl called for a quote to repaint most of her homes walls. A year ago they remodeled most of their home and the GC left a ton of nail pops, cracks, and holidays on their walls leaving them less than satisfied. Enter Donigan Painting to save the day! After assessing the situation with their walls it was clear to me that whoever did the painting used a very thick nap, rolling it onto to heavy, did not sand between coats, missed pin holes-nail pops, left settling cracks in a bunch of support beams and corners. So to start all the furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Fixtures, counters, cabinets were taped and masked with paper and plastic and the floors were covered with drop cloths. The walls were thoroughly sanded to remove the orange peel finish, nap hairs, dirt/dust. The pin holes and nail pops were patched with mud, sanded and cleaned. Once each wall looked perfect two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in a off white eggshell were applied with a light sanding in between coats for maximum smoothness. To wrap this one up we vacuumed, cleaned and reset the furniture before they arrived home from vacation. Thanks for all the work Cheryl

This week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool NY. Melissa just bought her first home and wanted to make it her own. After meeting to discuss her needs, we set the start date, sent over the contract, finalized colors. Since she had not moved in yet I was able to save her a significant amount of money not having to move and cover furniture. Prep work included floating out wall damage in most of the rooms with joint compound, nailing down base molding, caulking gaps, sanding walls-molding, cleaning. Two rooms darker colors were primed to neutralize the colors before their top coats. Her master bedroom closet had a system installed that was falling apart and damaged the walls significantly. The closets hardware was removed and multiple coats of mud were applied to bring them flush. Once prep was completed two coats of paint were applied to all the walls in Benjamin Moore Ultra-Spec 500 eggshell finishes. The base molding was taped out for straight lines and two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel in a semi-gloss off white.
