Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Sandy was looking to change the colors in her dining room and living room. The current yellow is to bright for her taste and she wanted to mute it a little. I recommended a light or medium grey because they are very trendy right now and easy to decorate with. So once the contract was signed, the start date was set and the colors finalized we got right to work. To start a bunch of dings-dents-cracks were floated out with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. Furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, hardware was removed and stored. The walls were pole sanded to remove inconsistencies and make them perfectly smooth for the new paint to look great. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select, from Purcell's, were applied with a 3/8 nap in an eggshell light grey. Gaps around the window, door molding were caulked, nail holes were wood puttied then two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel Bright White in a satin finish were rolled and brushed.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse NY. Sue and Ernie wanted to update their homes foyer, living room, dining room, and kitchen. Once colors were finalized, the contract was signed, and a start date was set we got right to work. To start each rooms furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Hardware, switch plates/covers, registers/returns were removed and stored. Drop cloths were placed on all the floors. To start the removal process the wallpaper was scored then thoroughly saturated with DIF and hot water. Once the top layer of paper was removed the backer and paste was soaked again and scrapped off with large putty knives. Once all the paste and paper were removed the walls were washed with piping hot water to remove any remaining residue. Nail holes, cracks and inconsistencies on the walls were floated out with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied in each room. Following this the doors and molding were scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to remove the shiny gloss finish and wiped down. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in an off white eggshell finish were then applied. Gaps and seams were caulked around the molding then one coat of Benjamin Moore Advanced Enamel in bright white semi-gloss was applied.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Baldwinsville NY. Maria needed to get her house ready to put up for sale. We previously painted the first floor last year and now she was looking to do the second floor bedrooms and bathrooms. All of the bedrooms had darker paint colors that required a coat of primer before two top coats of finish paint. So to start we centered all each rooms furniture and covered it with painters plastic. Hardware was removed and stored from the doors-windows. Each rooms walls were pole sanded to smooth. Holes, dings, dents were filled with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied to the ceilings. two coats of Benjamin Moore Ultra-Spec 500 in a light grey were applied to the walls. In between coats the molding-doors were scuffed with fine grit sanding sponges to remove the shiny finish then wiped down. Gaps around the molding as well as nail holes were filled with caulk and putty. To wrap this one up two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel in satin bright white were applied.

Recently Donigan Painting competed an interior repaint in Cicero NY. Jeff and Heidi wanted to change the colors in their living room, kitchen and dining room. They wanted everything repainted from top to bottom. After providing an on the spot quote, emailing a typed version, the contract, color finalization, and setting the start date we got right to work. In two of the three rooms there was wallpaper. It was removed carefully to not damage the walls and discarded. Their vaulted ceilings where two coated with Purcell's Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint. The walls needed some attention to get them ready for paint. A few holes were cut out and California Patched to match. Walls where pole sanded to smooth, gaps around door-window-base molding were caulked and scuffed. Counters, cabinets and floors were taped/masked-covered to protect them. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere were applied in a light grey eggshell finish. Following dry time the molding was taped out and two coated with Benjamin Moore Advanced in bright white-satin finish. Once we were done the rooms were reset and cleaned. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus, NY. Theresa just bought a new home and wanted to change the color scheme to fit her style. Her homes living room, dining room, kitchen, foyer and family room all were tones of brown. The ceilings were a bit shabby so we started by applying one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint from Purcell's Paints. Furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, drop cloths were put down on all the floors, hardware and molding was taped and masked to protect their finishes. Holes in the walls, cracks were patched with joint compound and caulked as needed. The walls were pole sanded to smooth and vacuumed to remove cobwebs and dust. Next two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in a light gray were applied in an eggshell finish. Once the walls had set up the base-door-window molding was scuffed with 220 grit sandpaper and wiped down. One coat of Benjamin Moore Advanced Enamel in satin bright white was then applied for the final touch.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool, NY. Jon and Jill called for a quote to repaint their living room, dining room, and kitchen. After the contract was signed, color were finalized, and the start date was set we got right to work. First all the furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Hardware, switch plates/covers were removed and stored. Floors were covered with drop cloths and surfaces not being painted were taped and masked. Cracks along the molding were caulked and knocked down, holes in the walls were patched/sanded. The window-door-base molding was scuffed and wiped down, the walls were pole sanded to smooth with 220 grit. Once prep work was completed one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. This was followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in an eggshell finish for easy cleaning. To wrap this one up the molding was taped out and top coated with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel bright white in a satin finish.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Nicole and Ron are previous customers. They bought their 1920's colonial from the Defrancisco family a few years ago and have been renovating since. A water leak in their master bathroom caused damage in their foyer ceiling causing it to buckle. Since the ceiling was plaster and lathe we took extra precautions to contain the fine dust by erecting a plastic barrier wall. The plaster was then angle grinded for a clean perimeter cut and removed. A new piece of sheet rock was installed, taped and mudded. After the joint compound set up it was sanded, vacuumed and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was then applied completing this project. Their diningroom also had the same water damage on one of its sections so it was also cut out and replaced with new sheet rock. After taping, mudding, sanding, priming it was top coated with the same paint to match the wall color.
