Interior Exterior House Painting Contractor Painter Syracuse NY

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville, NY. Tom called for a quote a month ago to repaint his entire patio home top to bottom. He is planning to sell his house in the Spring and wants to make sure it is show ready for a quick sale. Since he is living there we did one floor at a time starting with the first floor. So Monday morning at 8 am we arrived and started by centering furniture and covering it with painters plastic. Next all the switch and outlet covers-registers were removed and cleaned. Nail holes and cracks were filled with joint compound, sanded and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied throughout the first floor. The window and door molding was sanded and cleaned to prepare it for new semi-gloss paint. Gaps and nail holes were filled with wood putty and paintable caulk. One coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel was then sprayed onto the molding for a factory finish without brush or roller marks in bright white. The walls were then two coated with Sherwin-Williams Cashmere in an eggshell finish to wrap this one up. Here is how it turned out!

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool, NY. Karen and Joe just bought a new home and were getting ready to move in last weekend. Karen called called me Wednesday and we met that day to take a look at what she needed painted. She wanted to change the grey and tan color scheme from the previous owners and knew that getting it done before they moved in would be a lot easier than after. After seeing the scope of the project, discussing color choices and giving her the price she decided on the spot she wanted me to do the job. Fortunately due to a boom lift scheduling conflict we were able to fit in their 2 day repaint last Thursday-Friday. The next morning we showed up and started pole sanding the walls to smooth. After some minor prep work, taping-masking, and covering the new hardwood floors with drop cloths we were off to the races. The living room, dining room, foyer, kitchen, stairway and master bedroom were transformed to exceed their expectations. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere in eggshell finishes were applied to each rooms walls. Following this one coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel Ultra-White was applied to all the base molding in a semi-gloss finish. Here is how it turned out!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Camillus NY. Kevin called for a quote months ago to paint the exterior of his house. His aluminum siding had not been painted in decades and was in rough shape with heavy chalk residue on most of the house. He choose to go with the same colors on the body, shutters and foundation to freshen it up for sale. So to start we thoroughly washed the house with Simple Green and tsp solutions then scrubbed off the old chalky paint residue. After a rinse and few days dry time the house was ready for paint. Windows and hardware where taped and draped with plastic-paper. Sherwin-Williams Super Paint in Ultra-White was then sprayed on leaving no brush or roller marks for a smooth finish. The shutters where spray painted at the shop in a satin jet black enamel finish then rehung. To wrap this one up the foundation was one coated with Sherwin-Williams Super Paint in a satin black.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in North Syracuse. Jaime and Anna wanted to update their newer home purchase. Their vinyl siding had been painted once before and was looking a bit shabby. So to start the shutters were removed and the entire house was pressure washed to remove dirt and and mold. After allowing it to dry for a couple weeks we returned and sprayed out the aluminum soffit and gutters with Sherwin Williams Super Paint in bright white. Following this the body of the house was cut in and sprayed also with SW's Super Paint in a matched color from Behr in Cape Cod Gray-flat. The older ratty shutters were thoroughly cleaned, sanded to remove loose paint and sprayed with a jet black satin enamel. The aluminum wrapped windows were two coated with the same white to pull it all together to wrap this one up. Here is how it turned out!

This week Donigan Painting had the pleasure of working at old time friend and customers in Cicero< NY. Jaime and Anna called a few months back for a quote to paint their vinyl siding. They had just bought a new home and hated the tan color. After sampling a few color choices on their house they settled on a color by Behr Paints- Cape Cod Grey. Like any contractor worth his salt I had the color matched at Sherwin-Williams in their Super Paint line. Before the painting was started the shutters were removed, the house was pressure washed and loose pieces of siding were locked back in place. One coat of Sherwin Williams A-100 flat white was applied to the soffit-gutters to freshen up the white with a sprayer. Following this one coat of SW's Super Paint matched in Cape Cod Grey was applied to the body of the house. To wrap this one up the aluminum wrapped windows were painted white for a nice contrast and the beat up old shutters were cleaned and freshly painted jet black in a satin finish.

This week Donigan Painting completed an exterior paint job on Syracuse's Northside. Bill has been painting one side of his house a season due to it's age and need for regular painting maintenance. With older, neglected homes often times it will take painting a house twice before it will hold the new paint well. In this case his house was painted about 8 years ago. At that time it had not been painted in over 20 years in was in rough shape. So the initial paint job 8 years ago took care of the major chipping and peeling paint. Each year for the last few years he's chosen do to one side to save some cash and play with the color choices by darkening them up for a more dramatic color scheme. So as usual precautions were taken to contain the lead paint chips by laying out heavy mil plastic as ground cover to catch anything that falls for a quick easy clean up. Once the scraping is done the plastic used to catch it is discarded in contractor safe garbage bags and taped-sealed for disposal. Bare wood was oil primed and one top coat of Sherwin Williams Super Paint was sprayed-brushed-rolled. Here is how it turned out!

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint and repair at one of Fayetteville's historic properties. The Palmer Homestead was built in 1815. It was restored two years ago by a company that specializes in property rehabs. Since it is very old many little problems have occurred since it was fixed and luckily I have been the company to repair these issues. A bunch of rooms walls have had water damage and needed to be repaired. The owner called me in months ago to start drying out sections on the walls in order to re-float them with joint compound and repaint them when they had completely dried out. So in many of the rooms sections of walls were removed, allowed to dry for a month, then repaired. Here is what it looked like.
