Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse New York recently. Maya just bought a home on Dewitt Street in Sedgwick. The previous owners did not update the interior for a few decades at best. Many rooms had wallpaper and because they smoked the ceilings and walls were stained. Since she was not moving in until the painting was completed setup went quickly. The hardwood floors were covered with clean drop cloths, cabinets-counters-fixtures were masked with painters' plastic and paper, furniture was covered. Windows and doors were masked as well. Wall repairs were made as needed with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and spot primed. One coat of oil primer was sprayed onto the ceilings and walls to seal the smoke stains. Oil priming walls is absolute when you have smokers house in order to seal the stains and smell. Once this setup one coat of Sherwin Williams Pro Mar Ceiling Paint was sprayed on all the ceilings for a bright white flat finish. All the walls were pole sanded to smooth then two coats with Purcells Regal Select Simply White eggshell finish. To wrap this one up two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd in Decorators White was brushed and rolled onto the window-door-base molding after it was sanded-cleaned and caulked.

Donigan Painting completed just completed a large kitchen cabinet repaint. Russell and Gene just bought a house in Syracuse New York. Their kitchen cabinets were very nice, dated oak cabinets. They wanted their kitchen cabinets painted decorators white, an off white with grey hints. After discussing their timeline and expectations the quote was emailed and accepted. We scheduled the work to begin a few weeks later. WE started promptly Monday morning. First the cabinets doors and drawers were removed as well as the pulls and hinges. A spray area was setup in their basement that contained the sanding dust and paint fumes during spraying. Once the kitchen cabinet doors and drawers were setup on table tops each was sanded with 220 grit random orbital sander both sides twice to remove the sheen and prepare the surface for premium primer. The kitchen cabinet drawers and doors were then thoroughly vacuumed and wiped down. Two coats of PPG Seal Grip Primer were sprayed onto the front and back of the kitchen cabinet drawers and doors. In between coats of primer the kitchen cabinet drawers and doors were again sanded with 220 grit for a super smooth surface then thoroughly cleaned. After allowing the primer to setup for a day we moved on to finish coating them. Two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd Decorators White Satin finish were sprayed using a fine tip applicator. Once both sides had dried for a couple days so the surface hardened optimally the new pulls and hinges were installed and the kitchen cabinets drawers and doors were replaced-rehung. While we were there we also repainted the kitchen top to bottom using Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint flat white, Sherwin Williams Super Paint Classic Grey eggshell and the Advance for molding. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint at Midstate Spring in Syracuse. An old friend manages the facility and needs a bunch of their offices painted. We met to walk around, and I sent the quote same day, and it was accepted. Work started almost immediately to fill a couple days of last month for the crew. We started early Monday morning with centering the offices furniture and covering it with painters' plastic. The carpets were protected with clean drop cloths. Any hardware was masked off. The walls nail holes-dings-dents-scratches were repaired with joint compound, sanded to flush, cleaned and spot primed. Next two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in Classic Gray were applied. New vinyl cove was installed after we finished painting in each office. Thanks for all the work Tommy!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Eastwood. Lenny and Danielle just bought a new home on Shotwell Park. The called us because they wanted to update the dated colors and remove a few rooms wallpaper. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accepted. The date was set for few weeks later, contract signed, colors finalized, deposit received. Work began promptly Monday morning. Since the house was still unoccupied setup went fast. We covered the hardwoods and carpets with clean drop cloths, masked cabinets-counters-hardware. All switch-outlet plates were removed and stored as well as registers-returns. Repairs were made to the walls with joint compound, sanded and spot primed. In the bedrooms with wallpaper the walls were soaked with DIF Wallpaper Remover then stripped of the paper and its backer. Following this the paste was scraped off and the walls were washed with hot water. Once the prep work was done one coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was sprayed throughout the first and second floor ceilings. The next day we began cutting and rolling out the two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Simply White eggshell. The door-window-base molding was scuffed with fine grit sand sponges, wiped down and caulked as needed. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd were then brushed and rolled onto the molding. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville New York. Dan and Lisa just bought a new home and wanted to update with their color choices. Once the quote was accepted, contract signed, colors finalized, deposit received, start date set work began a few weeks later. Since the house was unoccupied setup was pretty quick masking counters-cabinets-hardware and covering floors with clean drop cloths. Repairs were made to the walls using joint compound, sanded, cleaned, and spot primed. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was sprayed and back rolled onto the ceilings. Two coats of their color choices from Sherwin Williams in Cashmere eggshell were applied brushed and rolled. All the raised panel doors were removed and setup ni their unfinished basement in a spray jig. Each door was machine sanded to scuff the surface, cleaned then one coated with an airless sprayer using Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Enamel Decorators White semigloss. The doors were fitted with new hardware then rehung. Congratulations and thank you for the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint at Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Middle Ages Brewing Company has a pub inside the airport. They wanted to change the colors of the bar and beer garden. After completing a repaint of the Johnny Rockets Restaurant a few months ago we were hired back to continue repainting the airport's main service areas. Work started after the airport closed and we worked thru the night till first light. Setup included covering the bar, table-chairs, counters-cabinets, and the floors. Prep work included repairing scratches, holes with joint compound, sanding, cleaning and spot priming. Following these three coats of their new colors were applied brushed and rolled using Sherwin Williams Super Paint. Once completed we removed the masking and cover and reset the area. Recently Donigan Painting completed a large apartment communities multiple units. Knob Hill Apartments needed 80 empty units repainted in a month this past November. The units were one and two bedrooms and roughly 800-1000 sqft per unit. Each apartments walls were repaired as needed, sanded to smooth and one coated with the same colors ceiling to baseboards. We started each day by spraying out each units' ceilings about a dozen at a time while repairing ceiling and wall holes and texture as needed. By the time we had that done we cut in each units walls and rolled them out. The baseboards, molding and doors were then rolled and brushed to match. We were able to complete the job in 10 days way ahead of schedule and slightly under budget.
