Recently Donigan Painting completed a kitchen cabinet makeover. Tom and Melanie wanted to update their kitchen without replacing a ton of cabinets and spending a small fortune, so they called me. After meeting to discuss their needs, the quote was sent providing the scope of work they requested. Their biggest concern was brush and roller marks. In order to avoid either of these outcomes I sprayed the cabinets to prevent brush or roller stippling. Spraying the cabinets is as close to a factory finish as you can get. So, to start all the doors and drawers were removed, hardware was taken off-stored, and they were setup for horizontal spraying for a glass like finish when dried. First each side of the cabinets were cleaned thoroughly with degreaser then sanded with 220 sandpaper to remove the finish. Once sanding cleaning was completed the drawers and doors were vacuumed and wiped down twice before the first coat was sprayed on the back. After a few days the doors-drawers were flipped, and the front sides were given the first coat of three. IN between each coat the surfaces were lightly sanded to remove imperfections and to help the next coat adhere best. Once the spraying was completed the setup for about a week before hardware was replaced, new pulls were drilled and installed, and they were rehung. The ceiling-walls-molding were then prepped and painted to complete their kitchen makeover. Thank you for all the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt, NY. Sam and Barb just bought their retirement home a ranch. Their new houses colors needed an update to their tastes. After meeting and discussing their needs we decided on a price, the date was set and colors where chosen. When work began a few weeks later we started by covering all the hardware, cabinets and floors with drop cloths-painters plastic-painters paper. Repairs were made to walls with joint compound as needed then sanded and primed. Once prep work was complete one coat of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Ceiling Paint was sprayed. Once the ceiling dried two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Classic Grey eggshell was brushed and rolled onto the walls. Next the molding and doors were scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to remove the finish then two coated-sprayed with Sherwin Williams Emerald Enamel Chantilly Lace satin finish. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Mike and Grace wanted to update their split levels colors throughout while they vacationed in Florida for the winter. After meeting to discuss their needs, the quote was sent-accepted, the date set, colors chosen. We began about a month later by centering and covering the furniture in each room. Floors, cabinets and hardware were covered with painters' plastic and paper. Walls were repaired as needed and pole sanded to smooth. One coat of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Ceiling Paint was applied in each room. Following this two coats of Classic Grey eggshell were applied to all the walls.

Recently Donigan Painting competed an interior repaint in Cicero NY. Dave and donna just bought a new home and wanted to update the kitchen cabinets and paint colors throughout. After meeting to discuss their needs, the quote was sent, start date set, colors chosen. To begin we covered all the floors, cabinets, hardware with painters' plastic and paper. Walls were pole sanded and repaired as needed. The doors and molding were scuff and cleaned-caulked. Once prep was completed one coat of Benjamin Moore Ceiling Paint was sprayed throughout. Following these two coats of Regal Select Simply White were applied brushed and rolled two coats. Two coats of Ben Moore Advanced was applied to the doors and molding.

The kitchen cabinets were taken apart-cleaned-sanded. Once prep was completed on the doors and cabinets one coat of Benjamin Moore Advanced was applied in satin finish Chantilly Lace. Once they had setup for about a week the hardware was replaced, and the cabinets were rehung.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Brewerton NY. Kip and Karen wanted to update their older Case Supply Kitchen Cabinets. Since the trend today is white cabinets that's what we went ahead and did. After meeting to discuss their needs and seeing the large scope of the project we hashed out the details, set the date, signed off, picked colors and promptly began work about a month later. We started by removing all 60 cabinet doors including all the hardware. Pulls were to be replaced so their original holes were wood puttied and sanded to flush then primed. A spray area was set up n their very large basement that included enclosing a 20 x 40 area with painters' plastic, drop cloths to contain over spray. All the cabinet doors were thoroughly sanded with 220 grit to remove the shiny finish-scuff them. The cabinets were cleaned with TSP to make sure all residues were removed. After being cleaned one coat of oil primer was applied and allowed to setup for a couple days for extra hardness. All the cabinets were also sanded, cleaned the same way to prep them for enamel paint. Once the ceilings-walls-floors were taped and masked two coats of Sherwin Williams Emerald Enamel bright white semi-gloss were sprayed. Following these two coats were sprayed on the backs of the doors then the fronts. In order to let the enamel, get nice and hard-dry they were dried for about a week before new hardware-pulls were installed and the doors rehung. Thank you for the work! Merry Christmas!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus, NY. Gwen and Gunther just bought a new home and wanted to update the paint throughout. After meeting to discuss their needs, the quote was sent-accepted, start date set, contract signed, and colors finalized. When work started, we covered all the floors with drop cloth's and carefully masked the cabinets-windows-counters-hardware-fixtures. Walls and ceilings were repaired as needed with joint compound-sanded-cleaned-primed. When prep work was finished two coats of PPG Speed Hide Ceiling Paint were sprayed. Following these two coats were sprayed on all the molding-doors with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel ultra white semi-gloss. Door hardware was replaced and then rehung. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Classic Gray were applied to all the walls. Finishing touches were applied and that was a wrap skippy! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Recently Donigan completed and Kitchen cabinet repaint in Dewitt New York-Dewittshire. Megan had grown tired of here 90's natural wood grain cabinets and wanted to bring them into this century. After meeting to discuss her needs and look over the cabinets the quote was sent-accepted, the start date was set, contract signed. When I started all the cabinets doors were removed and staged in her large basement. The cabinets were sanded to remove the finish and top coated with an oil primer. Patches were made as needed. Once the prier setup two coats of Sherwin Williams Emerald Enamel Ultra White Satin finish were applied by sprayer for a factory finish. Two coats were also applied to the cabinets. Once they dried for about a week the hardware was replaced, and the cabinet door were rehung with new pulls. Thank you for all the work and enjoy your beautiful new cabinets.
