Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Ray and Fay are selling their family home and downsizing. In order to get the house ready to list with a realtor they wanted to update a wallpapered bedroom. Color was chosen, the quote was emailed and a start date was set after we met. To start all the bedroom furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Hardware was removed or covered and the hardwood floors were covered with drop cloths. The wallpaper was scored, treated and removed. Once the top layer was removed the second layer, which was very old wallpaper-heavily pasted, was hand scraped off after being treated with our removal solution. Once all the paper was removed the walls were thoroughly cleaned to remove the paste. the walls were repaired with joint compound, gaps were caulked around the molding, the walls were pole sanded to smooth. Next two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select flat were applied to the plaster walls. In between coats the ceiling was hit with one coat of Sherwin-Williams Ceiling Paint. Following this the window-door-base molding were scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to remove the finish, wiped down, then two coated with Benjamin Moore's Regal Classic bright white semi-gloss.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Don and Dana just bought their retirement ranch and wanted to update the colors and freshen up the ceilings-molding-doors. After meeting to discuss their projects scope we set the stat date. Two weeks later we arrived and started by taping-masking all the counters-cabinets-fixtures-hardware. Their refinished oak floors were covered with drop cloth's, wall repairs were made, a few borders were removed. All the walls were pole sanded to smooth, the molding and doors were scuffed to remove the finish then cleaned. Once the prep work was complete the textured ceilings were two coated with Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint flat white. Following this the molding and doors were sprayed with Benjamin Moore's Regal Classic bright white semi-gloss. Once the paint setup all the the molding was carefully taped out with Frog Tape. Two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint off white eggshell finish were then applied. Tape and masking was removed and we cleaned up.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Solvay, NY. John and Pat are previous customers who own a duplex. Two years ago I painted the rented side. This year they wanted to update the colors on their owner-occupied side. Once they had chose a color we got right to work. Their furniture was centered and covered in each room with painters plastic. The floors were covered with drop cloths and hardware was removed or taped over to protect it. The walls were pole sanded to smooth for a glass-like finish. A few spots on the ceilings were treated for water damage and minor repairs were made to damaged sheetrock. The ceilings were painted with Sherwin-Williams Super Paint in bright white semi-gloss to reflect as much natural light as possible. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in a off white eggshell finish. Once the interior painting was completed the furniture was reset and we cleaned up.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse , New York. Lisa and Tom just bought an older home in Syracuse's University Neighborhood. The house had not been updated n many many decades. Walls throughout the house were covered in 80's wallpaper, the ceilings were worn, the doors/molding had seen many years of wear. Once the contract was signed, colors finalized we got right to work. Since they were not planning to move in until renovations were complete we had a wide open house free of clutter. Floors, counters, cabinets and hardware were covered with plastic, paper and drop cloths. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was sprayed. After a week of wallpaper removal it was all off. The walls were then thoroughly scrubbed to remove the paste then floated with joint compound, sanded and primed. Since the houses walls were plaster primer was absolutely necessary for a lasting paint job. One coat of PPG's Seal Grip Primer was applied to all walls before painting. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint were then applied. The doors and molding was scuffed with fine grit sandpaper, oil primed then two coated with Benjamin Moore Regal Classic white semi-gloss sprayed-rolled for a factory like finish.

Recently Donigan Panting completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Andy and his wife just bought a new home by Township 5 and wanted to update the old paint with a fresh color scheme throughout. So to start they went to Purcell's Paints to receive a free color consultation by their very helpful interior designer. Once they had picked their colors/sheens we set the date, signed the contract and work began a few weeks later. They had a move in date for the week before Christmas so we went right to work.

To start all hardware-cabinets-fixtures-counters were taped-draped with painters plastic or paper. Next all the walls throughout their 4500 sqft house were sanded to remove irregularities then repaired with joint compound as needed. The baseboards-window molding-door molding-doors were also sanded to remove their polyurethane finish. Two coats of PPG's Seal Grip Primer were then applied and allowed a week. Two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint(flat) were then applied to the ceilings. Following this the walls were cut in and two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint was applied. Once the walls had enough time to setup Frog Tape/Painters Paper were placed around all the molding-doors and two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic bright white semi-gloss were applied. All hardware was replaced, we cleaned up and they moved in ahead of schedule. Thank you for all the work! Best Wishes in your new home. Happy Holidays

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville, NY. John just bought a new home and wanted to update the colors. After meeting to discuss the scope of what he needed done the quote was emailed and accepted. We started a few weeks later in order to meet his dead line to move in. Color where chosen prior to starting and work began promptly Monday morning of that week. We started by removing hardware, outlet-switch covers, registers, etc. Next walls were repaired with joint compound and allowed to dry before they were sanded to flush, primed. Floors, cabinets, counters, fixture's were covered with drop cloth's-plastic-tape. Next two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint where applied. Following this all the walls were pole sanded to smooth and vacuumed. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint Revere Gray eggshell finish were then applied. The baseboard-window-door molding was scuffed to remove the finish and cleaned. Gaps were caulked and nail holed were filled with putty. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic white semi-gloss were then applied.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt, NY. John and Gina just purchased a new home that needed some updating. The 80's wallpaper and wood paneling had to go. So to start all of the wood paneling and wallpaper was carefully removed. Looking up at the popcorn ceilings afterward they decided lets get rid of that. After covering the floors with heavy mil plastic the ceilings through out their 3000 sqft house were saturated with water and the popcorn was scraped off. Once everything was cleaned up most of the ceiling and walls needed to be floated with joint compound, sanded and primed. The doors, base-window-door-crown molding were scuffed and cleaned. Once the prep work was completed one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied through out. Following this two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in an off white eggshell were applied. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Classic were applied to the doors and molding sprayed for no strokes. Thank you for the work and enjoy your new home!
