Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Mara just had her kitchen remodeled and also wanted to update the colors. After meeting to discuss her vision for her kitchen, dining room and living room the contract was signed off on, colors were finalized and the start date was set. To begin all the furniture was centered in each room and covered with painters plastic. Hardware on the windows-doors-walls were removed and stored, cracks-holes in the walls were filled with joint compound, the walls were pole sanded to smooth and wiped down. Surfaces not being painted were taped-masked and the floors were covered with drop cloths. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in eggshell finishes from Purcells Paint. The raised panel doors, window-base-door molding was scuffed to remove the finish, cleaned, wood puttied-caulked. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel bright white satin finish were then applied to wrap this one up.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint on Onondaga Hill. Joe and Tina just bought an older home near Onondaga Country Club that had not been updated in 50 years. Layers of old wallpaper hung in nearly every room bringing you right back to the 70's. So after initially meeting to discuss exactly what they would like to see done the formal quote was emailed and shortly after being accepted the contract was sent and the start date was set. When we started they had not moved in so moving around and getting the prep work done was alot easier. All their oak hardwood floors were covered with drop cloth;s. To start the wallpaper was soaked with DIF multiple times then removed from the wall. The paste residue was thoroughly washed off with piping hot water then the walls minor imperfections were floated out with joint compound, sanded, and cleaned. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied to each rooms ceiling. The walls were pole sanded to smooth for a mirror like finish. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select, from Purcells, in a light grey eggshell finish were applied to each rooms walls. To wrap this one up we cleaned and vacuumed then discarded all the old wallpaper at the dump.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Marsh wanted to repaint her foyer, dining room, stairway, and two bedrooms. After meeting initially to discuss color choices, time frame, and cost we set the date after the formal quote was emailed and accepted. We started out on the first floor by applying two coats of Benjamin Moore, from Purcell's, to the walls in the dining room and foyer. Minor prep work was done filling holes and small cracks with joint compound. The walls were pole sanded to smooth and floors covered with drop cloth's. After completing the first floor we moved to the second and floated out the joints in the bedrooms, sanded, cleaned and primed. Two coats of a light grey in an eggshell finish were then applied. To wrap this one up the furniture was reset, floors were vacuumed.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt NY. Paul and Karen wanted to repaint their raised ranches living/dining room, foyer and hallway. After meeting them for an on the spot quote, emailing a typed quote we set the date. When we started the furniture in each area was centered and covered with painters plastic. the hardwood floors were covered with drop cloth's. Hardware on doors and the walls were removed, switch plate.outlet covers were removed and stored. Nail holes,cracks and inconsistencies on the walls were patched with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. Surfaces not being painted were taped and masked to protect them. First one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. Following this the walls were cut in in an off white by Benjamin Moore in Regal Select eggshell finish for easy cleaning. Two coats of the top coat were applied and allowed to set up fully overnight. The door-window-crown molding were sanded and wiped down to remove the gloss finish for the new paint to adhere properly. Gaps and nail holes were caulked and wood puttied. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel were then applied to wrap this one up!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Sandy was looking to change the colors in her dining room and living room. The current yellow is to bright for her taste and she wanted to mute it a little. I recommended a light or medium grey because they are very trendy right now and easy to decorate with. So once the contract was signed, the start date was set and the colors finalized we got right to work. To start a bunch of dings-dents-cracks were floated out with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. Furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, hardware was removed and stored. The walls were pole sanded to remove inconsistencies and make them perfectly smooth for the new paint to look great. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select, from Purcell's, were applied with a 3/8 nap in an eggshell light grey. Gaps around the window, door molding were caulked, nail holes were wood puttied then two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel Bright White in a satin finish were rolled and brushed.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse NY. Sue and Ernie wanted to update their homes foyer, living room, dining room, and kitchen. Once colors were finalized, the contract was signed, and a start date was set we got right to work. To start each rooms furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Hardware, switch plates/covers, registers/returns were removed and stored. Drop cloths were placed on all the floors. To start the removal process the wallpaper was scored then thoroughly saturated with DIF and hot water. Once the top layer of paper was removed the backer and paste was soaked again and scrapped off with large putty knives. Once all the paste and paper were removed the walls were washed with piping hot water to remove any remaining residue. Nail holes, cracks and inconsistencies on the walls were floated out with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied in each room. Following this the doors and molding were scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to remove the shiny gloss finish and wiped down. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in an off white eggshell finish were then applied. Gaps and seams were caulked around the molding then one coat of Benjamin Moore Advanced Enamel in bright white semi-gloss was applied.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Baldwinsville NY. Maria needed to get her house ready to put up for sale. We previously painted the first floor last year and now she was looking to do the second floor bedrooms and bathrooms. All of the bedrooms had darker paint colors that required a coat of primer before two top coats of finish paint. So to start we centered all each rooms furniture and covered it with painters plastic. Hardware was removed and stored from the doors-windows. Each rooms walls were pole sanded to smooth. Holes, dings, dents were filled with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied to the ceilings. two coats of Benjamin Moore Ultra-Spec 500 in a light grey were applied to the walls. In between coats the molding-doors were scuffed with fine grit sanding sponges to remove the shiny finish then wiped down. Gaps around the molding as well as nail holes were filled with caulk and putty. To wrap this one up two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel in satin bright white were applied.
