Recently Donigan Painting wrapped up the outdoor season with a customers home in the Syracuse University area.  Johns 1920'3 colonial had not been painted in over 20 years and needed alot of attention.  We spent about two weeks scrapping loose paint, priming and caulking.  John's house had a lot of dry rot so we lightly cleaned surfaces so no more damage would be done with high pressure washing or any other aggressive cleaning technique.  Once the prep work was completed we applied two coats of high quality Benjamin Moore Exterior Paint in a flat white.  Most of the paint was sprayed on and smaller areas were brushed and rolled.   John's childhood home was restored and the results look fantastic.

Recently Donigan Painting worked with a homeowner in Baldwinsville, NY.  Jon and Lisa needed the interior of their new home in Radisson repainted.  The dated colors needed a fresh coat of paint in most of their rooms.  We started by selecting a neutral color that fit their taste to use thru out on the walls.  In this case a light gray, Pewter, was used in an eggshell finish so it can be cleaned with out scuffing the finish.  The ceilings were all hit with one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint to start.  Since they had not moved in yet we were able to cover all the floors with drop cloth's easily and fly thru the work since there was no furniture to move.  Next all the trim was painted with one coat of Benjamin Moore Regal Select White in a semi-gloss finish.  Some of the trim was new so all the nail holes were wood putty filled and all seams were caulked with a paintable acrylic.  Following this two coats of Ben Moore Regal Select Pewter in the eggshell finish were then applied with a light sanding scuff in between coats for a smooth-glass like finish when the paint has cured.

Recently Donigan Painting worked with a homeowner in Manlius, NY.  John and Marie are getting ready to sell their family home and needed to spruce the house up before putting it on the real estate market here.  They were looking to paint their entry hallways, kitchen, living room, dining room and den a neutral gray to appeal to buyers.  After taking care of the formalities we got right to work on their start date.  We arrived at 8am and started by centering and covering all furniture in each room.  Next we drop covered the floors to protect them, removed hardware, and taped-masked cabinets-counters.  For this repaint they wanted the ceilings, walls and molding in room painted.  So we applied one coat of high quality Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint, available at Purcell's in Syracuse, to start off in each room.  The walls needed minor prep work filling dings-dents-holes and a quick pole sand to smooth them out for a glass-like finish.  Next two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior Revere Pewter in an eggshell finish were applied twice.  Following this we one coated the molding with another Ben Moore product in a bright white satin finish to wrap this one up.

Recently Donigan Painting worked with  homeowner in Dewitt, NY.  Lisa and Joe called for a quote to paint the interior of their newly purchased home about a month ago.  After the formalities were taken care of we arrived on the job bright and early and got to work.  For this job the interiors kitchen,living room, dining room, den and the hallways were being painted.  To start one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling paint was applied to each room.  Next we cut in each area then rolled out two coats of Benjamin Moore in Revere Pewter  eggshell finish.  Minimal prep work was needed and only very minor dings-dents were repaired.  To wrap this one up we applied one coat of Impervo-Satin bright white to all the molding and doors then reassembled hardware.  before each job we center furniture then cover it, drop cover all floors, remove hardware, tape out and mask as needed on every job.  Since they had moved in a furniture moving charge did apply.  Typically we center the big stuff and let the homeowner take down and move all keep sakes.  Lisa and Joe were very happy with their interior painting and plan to have us do the exterior next spring!

Recently Donigan Painting worked with a homeowner in Eastwood.  Claire and Rob called for a quote on the interior of their new home.  The houses rooms had many different colors from the previous owner.  Claire chose to go with one color throughout with two accent walls on opposite ends of the house.  The walls needed a little prep work and some wallpaper had to be removed.  We started with putting one coat of paint on the ceiling.  Following this all the walls were two coated with Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec Interior Satin in Pewter.  To finish this one up we one coated all the molding  throughout with a semi-gloss enamel in bright white to pull it all together.  The results are fantastic! She is already planning for the exterior repaint in the spring.  Win-win

Recently Donigan Painting worked with a home owner in Manlius, NY.  Lisa called for a quote to paint her living room and dining room.  The dated 90's flower wallpaper had to go and I was the guy for the job.  We began by removing all the wall paper and immediately cleaning up the areas.  Once wall paper has been removed it needs to be thrown out so it does not dry to the floor or any other surface when its is reactivated.  Following this the walls are thoroughly cleaned with hot water and scrubbed to remove the paste from the wallpaper.  Next we applied joint compound to the inconsistencies on the plaster walls to float them out level for a smooth surface to paint on.  We then sanded and cleaned the walls and applied PPG Seal-Grip Primer to seal the mud for new paint.  Following this we applied two coats of Benjamin Moores Revere Pewter in an eggshell finish to the walls.  The ceilings were painted with Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint.  Her molding and doors were in good shape so we were able to save her some money by cleaning them up and masking them off during painting.
