Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Cicero, NY. Tom called for a quote to repaint a couple bedrooms-living room-foyer. After meeting to walk thru his house i gave a quote on the spot and it was accepted. Work started a few weeks later. We began with entering the furniture and covering it with painters' plastic. Repairs were made to the walls with joint compound-sanded-cleaned-spot primed. One coat of Ceiling paint was applied followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Simply white. Furniture was reset and we cleaned up.

Donigan Painting completed an interior ceiling repair in the Westhill neighborhood. John, a repeat customer, called for a quote for an insurance claim that inc=volved water damage. Johns second floor guest bathroom leaked water onto the ceiling in his kitchen causing the sheetrock to buckle and sag. After meeting with him the quote was sent and accepted. Work began promptly about two weeks later. We started by removing the damaged section of sheet rock and cleaning the cavity. Next a new piece of sheetrock was installed, taped, mudded. After two coats of mud the joints were sanded and cleaned. One coat of PPG Seal Grip Primer was applied then one coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint. The repaired area was sand textured to match the existing pattern.

Donigan painting recently completed an interior repaint in Cicero New York. Tom called for a quote to repaint the entire first floor of his large colonial. We met to discuss his needs and went thru the options my painting company offers to serve him. Once we determined exactly what he would like done the quote was formalized and emailed to him within 24 hours. Once accepted the start date was set, contract sent-signed, deposit received for 50% and colors finalized. Work started promptly that Monday morning. We began bye centering the furniture in each room to create space then covering it with painters plastic to protect it. Next clean drop cloths were placed over all the floors followed by more painters plastic to cover cabinets-counters-hardware-fixtures. Repairs were made to the walls using joint compound. Loose molding was tacked down and caulked to fill the gaps. Doors were removed from the jams and setup in the basement to be sprayed. All surfaces being painted were lightly sanded and cleaned. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was sprayed onto the ceiling. Two coats of Purcells Benajmin Moore Regal Select were applied brushed and rolled in Simply White. The doors were scuffed-cleaned then top coated with two coats of an alkyd-Advance by Benajmin Moore in white and rehung.

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Dewitt New York. Beth and Joe are renting their home for a year and wanted to get it show ready to market it to potential buyers. After we met to discuss their needs, the quote was sent and accepted. Work started about a month later and included repainting the foyer, stairway, upstairs hallway and kitchen. We started by setting up the work areas with clean drop cloths, painters' plastic, and masking. Prep work included small wall repairs and covering up some water stains on the ceilings. Once prep was completed one coat of ceiling paint was applied brushes and rolled. Next two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Simply white was applied brushed and rolled. The base molding in each room was scuffed then top coated with BM Advance alkyd bright white. Thaks for all the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus New York. David owns a ranch that he rents across the street from my mom's house. He called me for a quote a few months ago to repaint the interior, refinish the hardwood floors, remodel the kitchen and bathroom down to the studs. After meeting and discussing his needs, a quote was sent and accepted. The contract was sent and signed, start date was figured out, deposit received. Work began about a month later. We started by removing the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, sheetrock, fixtures, flooring. Once everything was removed Hardee backer board was installed to level the surfaces for new tile flooring. New tile was installed and grouted. Following the floors being completed the kitchen cabinets were installed, th tub-vanity-new toilet were hooked up. The template was measured for the new Corian counters and sent to the fabricator. The hardwood floors were sanded with two courses then top coated with three coats of oil polyurethane. Next all the floors were covered to prepare for paint. Each rooms walls were coated with one primer coat. Two coats of paint were then brushed and rolled on the walls. The ceilings were sprayed with two coats of ProMar Ceiling Paint from Sherwin Willliams. All the doors, including closet doors, were primed then two coat with an bright white enamel finish and rehung with new hardware. New windows were installed in each room and trimmed out. To wrap this project up we cleaned up and put the finishing touches as needed per the punch list. Thanks for all the work db.

Interior Exterior Painting Painter Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing Syracuse New York Donigan Painting

Recently Donigan Painting completed interior painting at Destiny USA. Kim called for a quote to paint her new store. The previous tenant had used very dark colors for their theme and she needed it gone asap. She wanted this done before the holiday season so her store could be opened so we got right to work. We started about a week later to meet her deadline. To begin all the floors were covered with painters' paper along the walls. Each wall was repaired as needed with joint compound-sanded-cleaned-spot primed. The molding was vacuumed and wiped down then lightly scuffed with fine sandpaper to provided maximum adhesion of the enamel. Once prep was completed one coat of Purcells PPG Seal Grip Primer was brushed and rolled to neutralize the dark browns. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore's Simply White eggshell finish was applied. The molding was two coated with Sherwin Williams ProClassic enamel in bright white semigloss.

Donigan Painting recently completed painting kitchen cabinets in Syracuse New York. Dave and Anna wanted to update their kitchen cabinets and counter tops without breaking the bank on new cabinets. Their Craftmade Cabinets were in excellent condition despite being 30 years old the raised panel doors still looked sharp. We met to take a close look at what the project entails and come up with a round number. I explained the process I use, why it works better than other companies, and that the work is guaranteed for the life of the cabinets. The process of refinishing stained or painted cabinets are alike with the exception of a primer coated needed for stained cabinets, oil primer. Since their cabinets were factory painted they did not need a primer coat, which saved them some money. With painted cabinets you machine sand them with fine grit sand paper, clean, caulk and thats all the prep work. Since they had a basement space that was free of clutter a make shift spray area was setup that contained the dust and spray with plastic. Each cabinet door was carefully removed from the hinge. The hardware including the pulls were all removed and stored. They planned to update the pulls with a wider pull so in this case the original screw holes were filled with wood putty and sanded flush before being spot primed. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd were applied with a fine tip sprayer for a factory finish, no lap marks or dimpling from brushing or rolling. The paint dried for 24 hours before flipping them and painting. In between coats each door was lightly sanded to remove imperfections. The rails on the cabinets were all sanded and painted with the same process. Once the paint had setup for 48 hours the new pulls were drilled and hinges replaced before being rehung. Thak sfor all the work! The repaint tool one week to complete.
