Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Jon and Laura just bought an older home. It's Previous owners lived there for many decades an had not updated in many many years. The first week was spent removing multiple layers of wallpaper in half the rooms. Once the walls were cleaned some areas where floated with joint compound that were damaged by a leaky water pipe at one time.Sections of the plaster and lathe were cut out and replaced with new sheet rock to match. The walls in each room were pole sanded to smooth and the molding including the solid wood doors were sanded to prepare them for new paint. Two coats of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint were applied before the walls were two coated with Benjamin Moore Regal select in medium-light grays. The molding was caulked as needed and nail holes-imperfections were filled with wood putty-sanded-cleaned-primed before two coats of Ben Moore's Advanced Enamel bright white satin were applied.
