Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Sandy was looking to change the colors in her dining room and living room. The current yellow is to bright for her taste and she wanted to mute it a little. I recommended a light or medium grey because they are very trendy right now and easy to decorate with. So once the contract was signed, the start date was set and the colors finalized we got right to work. To start a bunch of dings-dents-cracks were floated out with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. Furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, hardware was removed and stored. The walls were pole sanded to remove inconsistencies and make them perfectly smooth for the new paint to look great. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select, from Purcell's, were applied with a 3/8 nap in an eggshell light grey. Gaps around the window, door molding were caulked, nail holes were wood puttied then two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel Bright White in a satin finish were rolled and brushed.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse NY. Sue and Ernie wanted to update their homes foyer, living room, dining room, and kitchen. Once colors were finalized, the contract was signed, and a start date was set we got right to work. To start each rooms furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Hardware, switch plates/covers, registers/returns were removed and stored. Drop cloths were placed on all the floors. To start the removal process the wallpaper was scored then thoroughly saturated with DIF and hot water. Once the top layer of paper was removed the backer and paste was soaked again and scrapped off with large putty knives. Once all the paste and paper were removed the walls were washed with piping hot water to remove any remaining residue. Nail holes, cracks and inconsistencies on the walls were floated out with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied in each room. Following this the doors and molding were scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to remove the shiny gloss finish and wiped down. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in an off white eggshell finish were then applied. Gaps and seams were caulked around the molding then one coat of Benjamin Moore Advanced Enamel in bright white semi-gloss was applied.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Baldwinsville NY. Maria needed to get her house ready to put up for sale. We previously painted the first floor last year and now she was looking to do the second floor bedrooms and bathrooms. All of the bedrooms had darker paint colors that required a coat of primer before two top coats of finish paint. So to start we centered all each rooms furniture and covered it with painters plastic. Hardware was removed and stored from the doors-windows. Each rooms walls were pole sanded to smooth. Holes, dings, dents were filled with joint compound, sanded, cleaned and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied to the ceilings. two coats of Benjamin Moore Ultra-Spec 500 in a light grey were applied to the walls. In between coats the molding-doors were scuffed with fine grit sanding sponges to remove the shiny finish then wiped down. Gaps around the molding as well as nail holes were filled with caulk and putty. To wrap this one up two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel in satin bright white were applied.

Recently Donigan Painting competed an interior repaint in Cicero NY. Jeff and Heidi wanted to change the colors in their living room, kitchen and dining room. They wanted everything repainted from top to bottom. After providing an on the spot quote, emailing a typed version, the contract, color finalization, and setting the start date we got right to work. In two of the three rooms there was wallpaper. It was removed carefully to not damage the walls and discarded. Their vaulted ceilings where two coated with Purcell's Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint. The walls needed some attention to get them ready for paint. A few holes were cut out and California Patched to match. Walls where pole sanded to smooth, gaps around door-window-base molding were caulked and scuffed. Counters, cabinets and floors were taped/masked-covered to protect them. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere were applied in a light grey eggshell finish. Following dry time the molding was taped out and two coated with Benjamin Moore Advanced in bright white-satin finish. Once we were done the rooms were reset and cleaned. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus, NY. Theresa just bought a new home and wanted to change the color scheme to fit her style. Her homes living room, dining room, kitchen, foyer and family room all were tones of brown. The ceilings were a bit shabby so we started by applying one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint from Purcell's Paints. Furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, drop cloths were put down on all the floors, hardware and molding was taped and masked to protect their finishes. Holes in the walls, cracks were patched with joint compound and caulked as needed. The walls were pole sanded to smooth and vacuumed to remove cobwebs and dust. Next two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in a light gray were applied in an eggshell finish. Once the walls had set up the base-door-window molding was scuffed with 220 grit sandpaper and wiped down. One coat of Benjamin Moore Advanced Enamel in satin bright white was then applied for the final touch.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool, NY. Jon and Jill called for a quote to repaint their living room, dining room, and kitchen. After the contract was signed, color were finalized, and the start date was set we got right to work. First all the furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Hardware, switch plates/covers were removed and stored. Floors were covered with drop cloths and surfaces not being painted were taped and masked. Cracks along the molding were caulked and knocked down, holes in the walls were patched/sanded. The window-door-base molding was scuffed and wiped down, the walls were pole sanded to smooth with 220 grit. Once prep work was completed one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. This was followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in an eggshell finish for easy cleaning. To wrap this one up the molding was taped out and top coated with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel bright white in a satin finish.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick Neighborhood. Nicole and Ron are previous customers. They bought their 1920's colonial from the Defrancisco family a few years ago and have been renovating since. A water leak in their master bathroom caused damage in their foyer ceiling causing it to buckle. Since the ceiling was plaster and lathe we took extra precautions to contain the fine dust by erecting a plastic barrier wall. The plaster was then angle grinded for a clean perimeter cut and removed. A new piece of sheet rock was installed, taped and mudded. After the joint compound set up it was sanded, vacuumed and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was then applied completing this project. Their diningroom also had the same water damage on one of its sections so it was also cut out and replaced with new sheet rock. After taping, mudding, sanding, priming it was top coated with the same paint to match the wall color.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus NY. Susan called for a quote a month ago to repaint her foyer, living room, dining room and kitchen. Once we set the date, signed off on the work, finalized colors and the deposit was received we got right to work. On this repaint we were painting the ceilings and walls only. Her natural wood molding was taped and masked. Once the furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic, the walls were pole sanded to smooth, holes patched, gaps caulked, hardware removed as needed we applied one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select were then applied in eggshell finish through out. When the painting was completed the furniture was reset and hardware was replaced. Tape and plastic was removed and the rooms were shop vacuumed.

They remodeled their kitchen and wanted to update the ceilings. walls, doors-molding while they had all their furniture moved out. Prep work included pole sanding the walls to smooth, scuffing the raised panel doors, caulking gaps around the molding and patching holes in the walls with joint compound. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint and renovation in Syracuse's Westcott Neighborhood. Theresa, a long time customer, called a couple of months ago for a quote to finish her guest bedroom closet and paint the room. So to start a wall within the closet was removed to free up more square footage for storage and to create a large walk in closet. Once the wall was removed a few areas were framed. Once framed sheet rock was installed, taped, and mudded. One coat of PPG's Seal-Grip Primer was applied to the new sheet-rock then it was top coated twice with Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Vanilla Ice-Cream eggshell. Next one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling paint was applied. A few problem areas, water damage, were cut out and floated with joint compound to match the plaster. Once the prep work was completed two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Camouflage eggshell finish were applied. The window-door-base molding were scuffed then cleaned to remove dust. Following this caulk was applied as needed then two coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald in Linen semi-gloss were applied.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Marcellus,NY. This week Donigan Painting completed an interior renovation at a long time customers home in the Syracuse University neighborhood. Theresa called a few months ago for a quote to expand her guest bedrooms closet for more storage space. The back portion of the closet was walled off and unfinished from the rest of the closet and she wanted to make it one space with out a door in the back portion of the closet. So to start the wall separating the two areas was torn down carefully and removed in sections. Some new blocking was put in place for the sheetrock to catch on, new insulation was installed on the outer walls. Seven pieces of new sheetrock were installed, taped and mudded. Once the joints had set up one coat of PPG's Seal-Grip Acrylic Primer was applied to get the walls ready for paint. She chose and off-white in a n eggshell finish for the top coats in Benjamin Moore's Regal Select.

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Baldwinsville, NY. Trish, a repeat customer, called to get a quote for repainting the second floor of here home to get it ready to sell. I met with her a few weeks ago to do a walk through and figure out exactly what she wanted done. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Cicero, NY. Larry and Megan just bought a new home with dated colors throughout. We met and did the walk thru a few weeks ago before they closed to get them an estimate. They wanted every room in their 3000sqft house painted top to bottom. So to began we went in and taped-masked all the fixtures-windows-floors then sprayed one coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Valley Neighborhood. Mary called for a quote about a month ago to repaint her guest bedroom and finished basement. After the kids moved out her guests bedrooms dated wallpaper had to go. Recently Donigan Painting completed and interior repaint in Manlius NY. John and Jill called for a quote to repaint their first floor a few months ago. They wanted to update the colors in their home on the walls, molding and ceilings. They choose to use Sherwin Williams Cashmere for the walls, Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint for the ceilings, and Sherwin Williams Emerald Enamel in a bright white satin finish for the molding and doors. Two coats of ceiling paint were rolled onto the ceiling s setting the background for beautiful new walls colors. Next two coats of Cashmere were applied to the walls. To wrap this one up two coats of Sherwin Williams Emerald Enamel where sprayed onto the molding and doors for a factory finish. Prep work included thoroughly sanding the walls, molding, doors, filling cracks and holes, and pole sanding the walls to smooth for a glass like finish.

Interior Exterior House Painting Contractor Painter Syracuse NY

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse/s Strathmore Neighborhood. James and Barbara moved from Florida and purchased a new home that needed renovations. They called for a quote a month ago and scheduled the work for last week. They plan to paint the entire house but wanted to get their main living areas spruced up before moving in later next month. So we started with painting two main bedrooms, the living room, and the downstairs office. First we pole sanded the walls to smooth, filled holes with joint compound, taped out the natural wood molding to protect it, dropped out the floors and cover fixtures with painters plastic. Next two coats of high quality Sherwin Williams Paint were applied to the walls. Once everything dried hardware and fixtures were reset and we cleaned up. Here is how it turned out!

This week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Clay, NY. Skylar called a few months ago for a quote to paint the entire 2nd floor of her house. She scheduled a a few weeks ago. To start all the bedrooms and bathrooms furniture was centered and covered with painters plastic. Hardware, switch/outlet covers were removed, drapes were taken down. Nail holes and settling cracks were filled, sanded and cleaned. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select were applied to the walls in her choices of color/sheen's. Plastic and tape were removed, the furniture was reset and hardware was reinstalled. To wrap this one up we repainted her homes exterior porch trim and front-side entries new colors. Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Clay, NY. Aaron called for an estimate a couple months ago to repaint his new home purchase. The colors in his two bedroom townhouse were a bit dated and needed to be freshened up. The peachy walls and antiques white doors and molding had to go. To start all the doors hardware were removed as well as the doors to prep them for new bright white paint. Since he has an attached garage and is not living there yet we set up a spray room. Drop clothes were laid across the concrete floors and the doors were setup in a jig. The doors where hand and machine sanded to remove the shiny finish and help the new paint adhere better. One coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel was applied with a sprayer for a factory finish with no streaks or brush marks. The doors were done first to give them the most dry time so the enamel finish could harden over the 10 days we were there. Next all the interior fixtures, cabinets, windows and floors were covered with painters plastic. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied. The floor-door-window molding was taped out, sanded and wiped down before two coats of SW's Emerald Enamel was applied. The tape and masking was immediately removed for clean lines after spraying to prevent tearing the paint off. After setting up over night all the molding was taped out with Frog Tape to prevent pulling the new paint off while painting the walls. We pole sanded all the walls to remove snags and rough spots. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Promar 200 in an eggshell finish were then applied to all the walls in each room. Nail pops were removed, floated with joint compound, and retextured on the ceilings throughout for a streamlined finish. To wrap this one up the door hardware was reinstalled and the doors were rehung. Here is how it turned out!!

Last week Donigan Painting completed one of its last exterior repaints for the 2019 season. Mark and Beth called for a quote months ago to repaint their home. The windows, doors, soffit, front porch molding was in bad need of a through scraping and priming. So to start ground cover was put down to collect paint chips as we scraped. Heavy mil painters plastic was secured to the ground to collect lead paint chips for an easy containment and cleanup. Following a thorough hand scraping one coat of PPG's Seal-Grip Primer was applied to all the bare wood to seal it. Paintable silicone caulk was applied to windows and doors as needed. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint were applied to all surfaces ensuring a thick coating to protect the wood from Syracuse's seasons. Their pool pergola was machine sanded then top coated with Sherwin-Williams DeckScapes solid stain in Cape Cod Red bringing it back to life. To wrap this one up the garage was painted to match the house and the front porch floor was painted to match the pergola. Here is how it turned out!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville, NY. Tom called for a quote a month ago to repaint his entire patio home top to bottom. He is planning to sell his house in the Spring and wants to make sure it is show ready for a quick sale. Since he is living there we did one floor at a time starting with the first floor. So Monday morning at 8 am we arrived and started by centering furniture and covering it with painters plastic. Next all the switch and outlet covers-registers were removed and cleaned. Nail holes and cracks were filled with joint compound, sanded and primed. One coat of Pittsburgh Ceiling Paint was applied throughout the first floor. The window and door molding was sanded and cleaned to prepare it for new semi-gloss paint. Gaps and nail holes were filled with wood putty and paintable caulk. One coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel was then sprayed onto the molding for a factory finish without brush or roller marks in bright white. The walls were then two coated with Sherwin-Williams Cashmere in an eggshell finish to wrap this one up. Here is how it turned out!

Last week Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool, NY. Karen and Joe just bought a new home and were getting ready to move in last weekend. Karen called called me Wednesday and we met that day to take a look at what she needed painted. She wanted to change the grey and tan color scheme from the previous owners and knew that getting it done before they moved in would be a lot easier than after. After seeing the scope of the project, discussing color choices and giving her the price she decided on the spot she wanted me to do the job. Fortunately due to a boom lift scheduling conflict we were able to fit in their 2 day repaint last Thursday-Friday. The next morning we showed up and started pole sanding the walls to smooth. After some minor prep work, taping-masking, and covering the new hardwood floors with drop cloths we were off to the races. The living room, dining room, foyer, kitchen, stairway and master bedroom were transformed to exceed their expectations. Two coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere in eggshell finishes were applied to each rooms walls. Following this one coat of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Enamel Ultra-White was applied to all the base molding in a semi-gloss finish. Here is how it turned out!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Camillus NY. Kevin called for a quote months ago to paint the exterior of his house. His aluminum siding had not been painted in decades and was in rough shape with heavy chalk residue on most of the house. He choose to go with the same colors on the body, shutters and foundation to freshen it up for sale. So to start we thoroughly washed the house with Simple Green and tsp solutions then scrubbed off the old chalky paint residue. After a rinse and few days dry time the house was ready for paint. Windows and hardware where taped and draped with plastic-paper. Sherwin-Williams Super Paint in Ultra-White was then sprayed on leaving no brush or roller marks for a smooth finish. The shutters where spray painted at the shop in a satin jet black enamel finish then rehung. To wrap this one up the foundation was one coated with Sherwin-Williams Super Paint in a satin black.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in North Syracuse. Jaime and Anna wanted to update their newer home purchase. Their vinyl siding had been painted once before and was looking a bit shabby. So to start the shutters were removed and the entire house was pressure washed to remove dirt and and mold. After allowing it to dry for a couple weeks we returned and sprayed out the aluminum soffit and gutters with Sherwin Williams Super Paint in bright white. Following this the body of the house was cut in and sprayed also with SW's Super Paint in a matched color from Behr in Cape Cod Gray-flat. The older ratty shutters were thoroughly cleaned, sanded to remove loose paint and sprayed with a jet black satin enamel. The aluminum wrapped windows were two coated with the same white to pull it all together to wrap this one up. Here is how it turned out!
