Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse Universities Park Commons. Lisa and Jon are getting ready to sell their townhouse and wanted to freshen up a few rooms. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accepted. work began a couple weeks later. Their kitchen, living room and foyer were setup with drop cloths, painters plastic to cover furniture and masked off as needed. One coat of ceiling paint was applied to the ceilings brushed and rolled using Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint bright white flat. Following this two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in Classic grey was applied to the walls. To wrap this one up the base molding in each area was one coated with Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Enamel bright white semigloss.

Recently Donigan Painting completed a kitchen cabinet repaint for a new home buyer. Richard and Bob just bought a new home in Dewitt New York. Their kitchen cabinets are original from the 1960's. They plan to remodel the kitchen eventually but wanted to update the cabinets colors until then. Since we were just onsite painting their main floor a few weeks ago they asked for a quote to do the cabinets at the time and now have proceeded. We started by removing all the doors and drawers along with the cabinet hardware. In their basement we set up a contained work area to sand, prime and paint the doors and drawers. Each door was sanded with 220 grit sandpaper to remove the factory finish and knock off irregularities. They were vacuumed and wiped down then primed with an airless sprayer. One coat of Purcell's PPG Seal Grip Primer was applied to both sides over a two-day period and allowed to setup for 24 hours. After this they were sanded again and thoroughly cleaned. Two finish coats of Benjamin Moore Advance alkyd in ultra white satin finish were applied with an airless sprayer over the course off 4 days for a factory finish, which is no brush or roller marks. Spraying cabinets is the equivalent of what you get when you buy painted cabinets from the store. They are flawless. Once they setup for a couple days new hardware was installed and the doors-drawers were rehung. Enjoy your update!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville New York. Dominick just bought an home to rent as an Airbnb. The house was previously owned for many years and never updated in decades. After meeting to discuss his needs, the quote was sent and accepted. We started a few weeks later. His plan was to use a light grey throughout the house for a uniform look and to update. Setup included covering the hardwood floors, taping-masking cabinets-counters-hardware, removing hardware as needed. The walls and ceiling were repaired with joint compound, pole sanded and cleaned. Two coats of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint were sprayed on the ceilings. Following this two coats of Ultra Spec in Classic Grey eggshell was applied brushed and rolled. The window-door-base molding was scuffed and two coated with Benjamin Moore's Advance Alkyd ultra white satin. Good Luck!

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Syracuse Sedgwick Neighborhood. Michelle and Paul just bought a home on Sedgwick Drive. We met about a month ago to discuss what they wanted done. After getting a better idea of their wishes the quote was sent and accepted and the start date set. Work began about a month later. The house was empty, so setup was a breeze. Clean drop cloths were placed over the hardwoods throughout, painters plastic was put over kitchen cabinets-counters-fixtures-windows. Repairs were made to walls with jiont compound, seams caulked, molding-doors-walls sanded to remove imperfections and scuff the surfaces. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was sprayed in each room for a fresh-bright white to reflect the new wall colors. Theu chose a bunch of Earth tones in eggshell finishs for wall colors. In the living room, entry, diningroom, kitchen they went with Simply White. The doors and molding were sprayed with Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance bright white semigloss for a factory finish, no brush or roller marks.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Camillus New York. Larry and Amy wanted to update their living room Kitchen combined space. After meeting to discuss their needs, the quote was accepted, start date set, contract signed. Work began a couple weeks later. We started by centering and covering their furniture, masking cabinet's-counters-hardware. Prep work included repairing nail holes-scratches with joint compound, sanding the walls, caulking seams around molding. The vaulted ceilings were rolled with an 18" twice for excellent coverage. Two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Classic Grey were brushed and rolled onto the walls. One coat of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd was brushed onto the base-door-window molding. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Manlius New York. Maria and Bill Just bought a large contemporary off of Woodchuck Hill Road. Both are avid art collectors and wanted their walls to reflect their very expensive, extensive artwork collection. After meeting to discuss their needs at the house we agreed on the price of the work and set the date for about a month later. They were not living there yet so this helped them save some money. Work began promptly a month later Monday morning. We started with setup which included covering the hardwood flooring with clean drop cloths, the cabinets/counters with painters' plastic, masking all the windows. Two coats of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint Ultra White flat were sprayed throughout the house and brushed in in corners-seams. Next two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select were brushed and rolled onto the walls with colors of their choice. the doors were removed along with the hardware and setup in the basement in a spray area sealed with plastic. Before painting them, they were machine sanded with fine grit to remove the shiny finish and wiped down. Two coats of Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Enamel in decorators white were sprayed on for a flawless finish. After the doors setup for a couple days the new brushed nickel hardware was installed, and the doors rehung. Thank you for the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Meadow Brook Neighborhood. Richard and Bob just bought a home on Bradford Lane. they wanted to update the living room, entry, hallway and guest bedrooms colors on the walls only. After agreeing on the price work began pretty quickly. Since they had not moved in yet setup and prep was easier. What furniture they had there was centered and covered with painters plastic. The base molding in each room was taped out with a masker to keep paint from the walls of it since it was walls only. Prep work included filling nail holes and some light sanding. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar200 Antique White eggshell were brushed and rolled. They added on painting the inside of their kitchen cabinets which needed two coats of Purcell's Seal Grip Primer and two topcoats of Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Ultra White semigloss. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior in Manlius New York. Steve and Lucy wanted to change the colors in their living rooms, kitchen, foyer and stairway. There had been some water damage from the roof leaking so each rooms ceilings needed repair work with joint compound and retexturing to match. The walls were pole sanded to smooth. Nail holes, cracks and seams were filled with joint compound, sanded, cleaned, and spot primed. The molding was sanded to dull the sheen, wiped down and caulked. One coat of Sherwin Williams Promar Ceiling Paint was sprayed on. Prior to spraying each rooms furniture was centered and covered. The floors, windows, hardware and fixtures were taped and masked with painters' plastic. Two coats of Sherwin Williams Cashmere Eggshell were brushed and rolled. In between coats the walls were lightly scuffed to remove snags for the smoothest surface for the final coat. The molding received two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance ultra-white semigloss. Repairs were made with joint compound to holes, dings, dents. The doors, molding was sanded with fine grit sandpaper to remove the finish and wiped down. Gaps caulked. One coat of Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint was applied to all the ceilings. Following these two coats of Benjamin Moore Regal Select were crushed and rolled onto the walls. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse's Sedgwick neighborhood. Jennifer and John just bought a fixer upper colonial in this historic neighborhood. John called months ago to line up the work to have it completed before they moved in. Most of the work was coordinated from Pennsylvania via the phone. To start half a dozen rooms wallpaper was removed. The walls were thoroughly cleaned and sanded to smooth. Repairs were made to the large cracks in their walls plaster from the house the settling. Portions of some of the walls were completely removed and replaced with sheetrock, floated and primed. The ceilings had just as many cracks, so most were screwed back up to preserve the plaster, floated and primed. All doors were removed and setup in a spray area jig, sanded, cleaned, primed and top coated with Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance ultra-white semigloss. Two coats of PPG Ceiling paint were brushed and rolled on all the ceilings. The base-door-window-crown molding was sand scuffed with fine grit, cleaned and two coat with the dame product as the doors. Two coats of the owners choice colors were brushed and rolled using Benjamin Moore Regal Select eggshell-matte. Thank you for all the work! See you this spring for the exterior.
