Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior kitchen cabinet repaint in Camillus, New York. Ava just decided to paint her dated oak kitchen cabinets instead of spending a small fortune replacing them. After meeting to discuss her needs a quote was given on the spot and accepted. Work was scheduled to begin a couple weeks later. To begin each cabinets doors and drawers are carefully removed and setup in a spray booth in the basement. Once in the work area the door-drawers hardware is carefully removed and stored. Each cabinets contents are sealed inside to save on having to remove all of them with painter's plastic. Next each door-drawer-cabinet face/rail is hand-machine sanded with fine grit paper and thoroughly cleaned with a vacuum then wiped down to remove all fine dust particles. After thorough sanding-cleaning one coat of Purcell's Seal Grip Primer is sprayed-brushed-rolled onto surfaces. Once the primer has setup for 24 hours the finish coats can be applied. Two coats of Purcells Advance Alkyd were then fine tip airless sprayed on each side of the door-drawers. The cabinets face-rail were brushed and rolled with the same product. After the cabinets are allowed to dry for a few days new hardware is installed and the doors-drawers are rehung. Enjoy!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Solvay New York. Brian and Lisa just bought a fixer upper with alot of character. Their 1920's colonial had fell into disrepair after years of being unoccupied. After meeting with them to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accpeted. Work was scheduled to start about a month later when the weather got colder. Since they had not moved in yet setup was a breeze. Clean drop cloths were placed over all the hardwood floors, cabinets-counters-hardware were masked. About half of the hoes rooms were wall papered and needed to be removed. Each rooms wallpaper was throughly soaked with DIF then carefully removed to not further damage the walls. All of the paste was scrubbed of the walls with very hot water. Once the paper was all removed repairs were made to the walls with joint compound, it was sanded, then cleaned, then primed with Purcells Seal-Grip Primer. The base-window-door molding was machine sanded to remove the glossy finish then cleaned to remove dust. Gaps and seam were caulked as needed with 50 year siliconized-acrylic caulk. Nail holes were filled with painters putty-sanded-cleaned. One coat of Purcell's PPG Ceiling Paint was sprayed onto each rooms ceilings. Following this all the molding was sprayed with a fine tip sprayer so there would be no brush marks. Once the molding had setup for a few days it was taped-masked with painters paper to protect it from paint for the walls. Next two coats of their colors were brushed-rolled onto the walls to wrap this one up.

Luckily prep work was minimal and the aluminum siding just needing alight cleaning. Since he chose a color close to the existing one spraying it over went quite fast. After masking the windows-doors-hardware one coat of Sherwin-Williams Super Paint flat was sprayed onto the aluminum. Masking was removed and discarded, and we cleaned up the site.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Liverpool New York. Mike and Melissa wanted to update their oak kitchen cabinets from the 90's with a coat of paint versus paying a whole lot more to replace them. After meeting to discuss their needs, a quote was given on the spot and followed u with a typed copy that was emailed the next morning. Work was scheduled to start a few weeks later. To begin a work area was setup in their basement with tables and painters' plastic to enclose the spray area. Next each cabinets doors and drawers were carefully removed, and hardware stored for reuse. Each door and drawer were machine sanded with fine grit sandpaper-vacuumed -wiped down-then filled as needed. Once cleaned thoroughly each surface was primed with oil for a very strong bond. Next three coats of Purcells Advance Alkyd in Simply White satin were applied with an fine tip airless sprayer. In between each coat each cabinet was sanded and cleaned to promote the strongest bond. The cabinets were dried for two days before drilling in new pulls and installing new hinges before being rehung.

Switch-cover plates and registers were removed and stored. Prep work included repairing walls that were scratched-dented-dinged with joint compound, pole sanding walls to smooth, removing screws-nails-hardware. All the raised panel doors were removed and setup in a spray area in the basement. Each door was machine sanded to remove the glossy shine then wiped down with a clean rag. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint were sprayed in each room. Following this two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar 200 in their choice colors were brushed and rolled onto to each rooms walls. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProClassic Ultra white semi-gloss were sprayed with a fine tip for a glass finish. Each door was fitted with new hardware and rehung.

REcently Donigan Painting of Syracuse completed an interior repaint in Eastwood. Andy and Lauren just bought their first home. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accpeted. Work was scheduled to began a few weeks later. To begin we coverd all the floors with clean drop cloths, taped-masked the counters-cabinets-hardware-windows. Prep work entailed sanding the walls to smooth with fine grit paper, repairing dings-dents-scratches with joint compound, caulking gaps around molding, cleaning dust. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling paint was then spraed throughout. Following this two coats of Benjamin Moore's REgal Select in Simply White eggshell was applied brushed-rolled. The raised panel doors were removed and setup in in a spray jig in their basment. Each doors hardware was removed, the doors were then machine sanded with fine grit paper and cleaned. Two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd white were sprayed on each. Once cured the doors were rehung with new brushed nickel hardware. Thank you for the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint at Blessed Sacrament School in Syracuse New York. Bob Decker, the head maintenance manager, contacted me to repaint a few hallways after repainting several classrooms this summer and knocking it out of the park. Joe and Josie just bought their first home and needed a ton of work done on the interior before moving in. After meeting to walk thru and discuss their needs the quote was email and accpeted. work was scheduled for about a moth later and began promptly that Monday morning. To start each rooms floors were covered with clean drop cloths, cabinets-counters-hardware were taped-masked, fixtures-covers were removeds and stored. Half of their 20 rooms had very old wallpaper with multiple layers. A solid week was spent just removing wallpaper thru steaming-soaking it. Once the paper was removed and the walls were cleaned numerous repairs were made to the plaster walls. Each room was sanded and cleaned. The molding was cleaned-sanded-caulked. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was applied with a sprayer. Following this two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select in their chosen colors were brushed and rolled. To wrap this one up two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Advance was brushed and rolled onto all the window-door-base molding.

Each door was machine sanded to remove the shiny finish then thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned to remove fine particles. Next two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint were applied throughout. Following this two coats of their choice colors were applied, brushed and rolled, using Purcell's Regal Select Interior Paint. In between coats the doors were sprayed with two coats of Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd for a rock solid glass finiish in ultra white semi-gloss. Each door was fitted with new nickel hardware and rehung.

Two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec in their chosen colors were applied brushed and rolled. IN between coats the hallways 6 doors were machined sanded to remove the finish with 220 grit sandpaper and cleaned. Two coats of Sherwin Williams Pro Classic Urethane were applied to all the molding and doors. Following this the hardware was all replaced and we reset the rooms.

I read an article on Syracuse.com that this company just bought a new building and called my old friend Tom who works there to see if they needed a quote. Turns out they did, and I was the second painting contractor thru the door. After meeting with Tom and seeing the scope of work a quote was typed up and emailed. The quote was accepted, and work was scheduled to begin last week. They wanted this done asap so we went to work. The drywall company just finished installing 20,000 square feet of new board. So to start all the walls were thoroughly brushed with a soft bristle broom and vacuumed to remove most of the dust. Once the cleaning was done painters paper was put down to protect the floors and priming began. Two coats of primer were applied to cut down on multiple top coats in some areas. The main machine room was given the most attention. Once priming was completed two coats of Sherwin Williams Tuff Scuff Enamel was applied to the interior walls. Thank you for all the work!

Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Syracuse's Strathmore Neighborhood this week. Nick and Kristin are getting ready to list their house on Alanson Road. The exterior was in pretty rough shape and needed a good scrape-prime-top coat to get ready to list on the mls. After smacking some sense into my old friend nick I kicked him in the dick and work began a week later to beat the cold weather. The southside of the house needed a lot of scraping so we started there. Plastic was laid out to catch all the paint chips and make clean up a cinch. We went right around the house with this setup and knocked the motherfucker out of the park prime time. After prep one coat of Sherwin Williams Super Paint matched in flat sheen was brushed-rolled-sprayed. The trim-molding was thoroughly scraped then primed and top coated. Good luck selling you probable won't need it considering there's no inventory and buyers are eating up anything that comes on the market. Be sure to go fuck yourself and have a happy halloween. Recently Donigan Painting completed resurfacing kitchen cabinets in Dewitt New York. Joy has wanted to replace her oak kitchen cabinets for years and then thought off painting them. She called a few contractors and of us all said that my presentation and knowledge of the subject impressed her so much that she chose me. After the quote was sent and accepted work began a few weeks later monday morning. To start all 30 cabinet doors were removed from the cabinets. Next the hardware was completely removed and stored. A cleaning solution was used to clean dirt and grime then through sanding with fine grit sandpaper was applied to each door front /back and the outside portion of the cabinets including the inner rail. Each door and cabinet was then vacuumed and wiped down to remove any fine dust. Two coats of Purcells PPG Seal Grip Primer was sprayed on each side for a flawless foundation. In between coats we sanded lightly to remove any snags and provide excellent adhesion for the next application. Once the primer had set up for a couple days the first coat of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance bright white semigloss was sprayed with a fine tip both sides. After curing for 48 hours the second coat was applied and allowed to dry for another two days. New hardware was installed and the doors were rehung perfectly. Repairs were made to the dings-dents-scratches on the walls with joint compound followed by sanding and a quick spot prime so the spots dont flash. Each rooms walls were pole sanded to smooth, molding was scuffed and caulked as needed. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was applied next followed by two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Regal Select Simply White eggshell. After meeting to discuss her needs the quote was formalized in an email and accepted shortly after. The date was set, and work began promptly about a month later. To start all the furniture was moved from these areas. the floors were covered with clean drop cloths and adjacent areas were masked off as needed to protect them. Repairs were made to the walls using joint compound then each areas walls-molding-doors were sanded to smooth for a glass like finish when top coated. Two coats of paint were applied to the ceiling since they had not been painted in decades followed by two coats of her choices of colors to the walls using Sherwin Williams Super Paint eggshell. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Dewitt New York. Maria and Dave just bought a their first home by Drumlins Gold Course. They called us to get a quote for painting the entire interior before they moved in. After meeting to discuss their needs a quote was emailed and accepted. The start date was sent and the deposit was mailed. Work began promptly about a month later Monday morning. They planned to move in after the work was completed so set up went fast. Clean drop cloths were placed over all the hardwoods throughout the house. Fixtures, hardware, cabinets, counters and windows were taped and masked with painters plastic and paper. Switch covers-outlet covers and registers were removed and stored. Repairs were made to the walls using joint compound. Multiple coats were applied as needed to the plaster walls to get them true again. Many rooms had wallpaper that needed to be removed. After a few days the walls were clear of paper and paste. They were then thoroughly cleaned with hot water then sanded with fine grit sandpaper to remove and texture-snags. All the doors were removed and setup in a spray jig in their large basement. Each door was machine and hand sanded to remove the shiny finish and dull it for excellent adhesion. After this they were vacuumed and wiped don with clean cloths to remove dust and sediment. Once prep work was completed one coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was applied with a sprayer-brush-roller for a beautiful uniform bright white coat. Following this each of the 12 rooms were painted with their color choices in Purcell's Regal Select eggshell. The doors and molding were also sprayed with Benjamin Moore Advance alkyd for a rock-solid finish made to last for decades. Clean-up was a cinch, and all plates-hardware was replaced. Once the doors had setup for a week new hardware was installed and the doors were rehung. Thank you for all the work and enjoy your new home!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Fayetteville New York. Dr. Clark just bought a new home in the village to Airbnb. The house was in need of updating throughout. It sat unoccupied for many years and it showed. After walking thru and discussing her needs the quote was sent and accepted. Work began about a month later. We started by removing the wallpaper in all the rooms. After using tried and true methods and about two weeks of manpower it was all off. The plaster walls had many cracks so we spent a significant amount of time repairing them with joint compound and sanding. Once everything was prepped we sprayed the entire interior top to bottom with Purcells PPG Seal Grip Primer to seal all the mud. Following this two coats of ceiling paint were applied with a sprayer and back rolled. Next two coats of Purcell's Regal Select were applied brushed and rolled in each room with her specific colors. The doors had been removed and setup in the barn to be sanded then sprayed with Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd white semigloss. The same product was applied to all the molding throughout after it had been cleaned-sanded-caulked.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in CAmillus New York. Kristin and Nick just bought their first house and wanted to update the colors. The house had not been painted in over 20 years. It was in need of a ton of prep work before paint. We began by scraping each side of the house cutting back the many layers of paint to no edge. As we scraped the back of the house we discovered an area near the deck that had thoroughly rotted under the shingles. The damaged-rotted wood shingles were removed revealing a large cluster of carpenter ants that eaten away a large section of the houses wood plate. The rotted wood was removed-replaced-reinforced then reshingled to match. As we worked around the house wet rot had eaten away at a bunch of window molding. These were also replaced to match. When we started the rear roof line we discovered that the whole area along it was rotted wood shingles. So once again we removed the bottom three courses of shingles and replaced them with new matching shakes. After all the rotted wood was replaced the remaining peeling paint was cut back-oil primed. After the oil primer one coat of PPG Seal Grip Primer was applied followed by two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in Rivers Edge flat. The first top coat was sprayed and the second was rolled to really penetrate the shake shingles. Following this the trim-molding were two coated with Benjamin Moores Simply White eggshell. The foundation was wire brushed and two coated with Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray eggshell. Their deck was previously pressure washed when the house was and was now ready to be stained. Two coats of Purcell's ProLuxe Semitransparent in Honey and white were applied. The decking was stained with the honey and the balusters-rail were stained with the white for contrast. To wrap this one up the shutters were sprayed at the shop then rehung. Thank you for all the work!

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse Sedgwick Neighborhood. This time around we removed a section of an arched ceiling that had cracked due to the house settling. After the damaged portion was removed, wood was bent to fit the shape of the arch and installed then coated multiple times with plaster to reshape it to its original form. in between coats the area was sanded then recoated until it was near perfect.
