Recently Donigan Painting completed an exterior repaint in Syracuse New York. Sue needed to get her house near Syracuse University to city code standards. An inspector had cited her house for painting after seeing large areas of chipping-peeling paint were coming of the houses siding-clapboards. She called me earlier this month for a quote and since the weather has been warmer than usual this winter portions of the work were able to be completed. With the mild temps we were able to hand scrape the pealing paint and apply oil based primer to at least satisfy the city's code enforcement for now. Once temperatures are consistently higher than freezing over night we will return to apply a top coat and complete painting the exterior of her house.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Cicero New York. Joe and Sharon just bought a new home and wanted to update the colors. After meeting with them to discuss their needs, the quote was sent to them, accepted, work was scheduled, colors finalized, contract signed, deposit mailed. work began promptly about a month later. They had not moved in so setup went pretty fast with laying out clean drop cloths, taping/masking counters-cabinets-hardware, bringing in tools. Prep work included repairing the walls with joint compound-sanding-cleaning-priming. One coat of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint as applied with a brush-roller-sprayer. Following these two coats of Purcell's Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Simply white was applied to all the walls. The base-window-door molding was cleaned-scuffed-caulked and two coats with Sherwin Williams ProClassic Urethane.

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint on Syracuse's Northside. Bill and Aleta wanted to update their colors in a few rooms to lighten up the rooms. After discussing color options with his wife, the decision was made to go with a light grey, Spring Thaw, in an eggshell finish. The dining room, master bedroom and bath were all painted the same color. To start each rooms furniture was centered and covered with painters' plastic, molding-fixtures were taped and masked off. Repairs were made to the walls with joint compound to fill dings-dents-scratches. Each rooms walls were pole and hand sanded to remove irregularities on the walls like dust or roller nap for a smooth finish. Once prep work was completed each ceiling was two coated with Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint. Following these two coats of Sherwin Williams Super Paint in a matched color, Spring Thaw eggshell finish, were brushed and rolled onto each room's walls. Furniture was reset and each area was cleaned up to complete this job.

Donigan Painting recently completed an exterior repaint in Dewitt New York. Faye is getting ready for the summer by painting the exterior of her house. Since the weather has been unusually warm this winter the exterior painting season has continued from the fall. Since her home is a newer build and needed nothing more than a pressure wash we were able to complete the outside in the warmer weather this winter, After pressure washing prep work included sanding down a few rought cedar boards-nailing down loose board. Two coats of Purcell's Arbor Coat Solid Stain were sprayed-brushed-rolled onto the siding in a navy blue. Two coats were needed for such a dark color and to maximize the life of the coating.

Donigan Painting recently completed an interior repaint in Manlius New York. Dave and Michelle just bought a new home and wanted to update the colors. After setting an appointment we met to discuss their needs and timeline. Once this was established, I gave them a quote on the spot that was followed up with an email written quote. We set the date, signed the contract, received the deposit, finalized colors and arranged access for the vacant house with a key. Work started a few weeks later. WE began by covering all the floors with clean drop cloths, removing outlet-switch covers-removing hardware. Counters, cabinets, windows, fixtures were taped-masked to protect them from overspray. Dings-dents-scratches were repaired with joint compound-sanded-cleaned-spot primed. Gaps around all the molding were caulked then the molding was sanded to remove the sheen-shine for the best adhesion. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint were sprayed brushed and rolled. Following this their choice colors in Sherwin Williams Super Paint were applied twice brushed and rolled. One coat of Sherwin Williams Proclassic Urethane was brushed and rolled onto all the molding in ultra white satin finish to wrap this one up.

Donigan Painting recently completed a whole interior repaint on Syracuse Universities Westcott St. Allen just bought a large single-family colonial that needed the entire interior repainted. We met to discuss his needs. After we figured exactly what he wanted done the quote was emailed and accepted. Work was scheduled to begin a few weeks later. Donigan Painting recently completed an interior in Dewitt, New York. Lorrie just bought a townhouse in The Hamlet and needed to update the colors throughout. After meeting with her to discuss her needs a quote was emailed same day and accepted. Work was scheduled to start a few weeks later before she moved in. We started with placing clean drop cloths over all the floors, removing switch-outlet-register covers, and removing all the raised panel doors. Repairs were made to the wall's dings-dents-scratches with joint compound and a few areas of the ceiling that were damaged were floated and retextured. One rooms wallpaper was removed, and the walls thoroughly cleaned to remove the paste. All walls were then pole sanded to smooth. One coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint was sprayed on all ceilings. Following these two coats of her choice colors in Sherwin Williams Super Paint were brushed and rolled. IN Between coats her 15 doors were setup in a spray area in the basement. Each door was machine and hand sanded to remove the sheen then wiped down with a clean rag. Following prep on the doors two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance White Satin were sprayed on the with a fine tip finish. New hardware was installed and the doors were rehung.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Solvay, New York. Jon and Lisa just bought a very large home on Woods Ave that needed alot of interior painting. After meeting to discuss their needs the quote was sent and accepted. Work was scheduled to begin about a month later. We began with setting up the house with clean drop cloths, taping-masking as needed, removing registers-outlet/switch covers. Each rooms walls were pole sanded to smooth, dings-dents-scratches were repaired, gaps caulked around the molding. Each ceiling was two coated with Purcells PPG Ceiling Paint. Following these two coats of Benjamin Moore REgal Select were applied to the walls. The molding was sand scuffed with fine grit paper and cleaned. Two coats of Advance Alkyd were brushed and rolled in ultra white semigloss.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint at the Polish Home in Syracuse. Mike called a few weeks ago for a quote to repaint a rooms ceiling. They had ripped out old paneling and wanted to freshen it up with new paint. A quote was given on the spot and accepted. Work was scheduled to start this month. We started last week, and it took about a day to complete the work. First clean drop cloths were placed on the floor, hardware was masked, the recessed lighting was pulled. Two coats of flat black were sprayed onto the ceiling. The heating duct was painted a copper color, and the remaining paneling was painted ultra white to brighten up the windowless room. It took 6 gallons to cover a 300 sqft area of floor joists. So, if you are planning to paint your basement or attic ceiling, you'll need more paint than you may think. Donigan Painting recently completed refinishing Kitchen cabinets for a client in Syracuse New York. Lisa decided to paint her kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them and spending a ton of money. Her oak cabinets were in great condition. Painting them and adding updated hardware brought them new life. After meeting with her the quote was sent and accepted. The work would be done onsite in her basement. A spray booth was set up with painters' plastic-drop cloths-ventilation for her cabinets. The project began with removing the doors-drawers-hardware. Wood putty was used to fill the old hardware holes-sanded-cleaned. Once the work area was setup each door-drawer-cabinet were machined sanded with 220 grit sandpaper front to back. Following this they were meticulously cleaned with a hepa vacuum and clean rags to remove all dust-sediment. Once clean one coat of Purcells Seal-Grip Acrylic Primer was sprayed on with a fine tip airless pump. Once dry each side was again sanded for maximum adhesion. Next two coats of Purcells Benjamin Moore Advance Alkyd Chantile Lace satin finish were applied with the sprayer. After setting up for 48 hours new hardware holes were drilled precisely. The brushed nickel pulls-hinges were installed and the door-drawers were hung.

Recently Donigan Painting completed an office interior in Syracuse's Galleries Building. Jon just leased a new office space and wanted to put his touch on the walls for his business. After meeting to discuss his needs the quote was sent, contract signed and date set to begin the work. About a week later work started promptly. since the office was occuoied we worked at night for a few evenings to complete the work with n=minimal disruption to his operation. We started each evening by entering the fusniture in each office area and covering it with painters plastic. Floors were covered with clean drop cloths and any thing else not being painted was coverd with painters plastic-paper. Recently Donigan Painting completed an interior repaint in Syracuse, NY. Michelle and Mike just decided to repaint the interior of their colonial while they spend the winter in Florida. Mike called for a quote a couple months ago and we setup the job to begin at the beginning of December. Since the house was being lived in setup took about a day with centering furniture and removing hardware-curtains-etc. Once each room out of there 15 was setup with painters plastic covering the furniture, clean drop cloths covering all the floors, cabinets-counters masked with paper-plastic prep work began. Two rooms needed multiple layers of wallpaper removed. Each rooms walls were soaked with a paper remover called DIF, then stripped and cleaned to the previously painted lathe-plaster. Repairs were made to the walls using joint compound, they were pole sanded, primed as needed. The base-window-door-crown molding were cleaned, scuffed with fine grit sandpaper to remove the finish then caulked. Two coats of Sherwin Williams ProMar Ceiling Paint were applied brushed and rolled. Following these two coats of their choice colors for each room were applied. Finally, two coats of Sherwin Williams ProClassic Alkyd Ultra white semigloss were applied to all the molding brushed and rolled.
